There are many kinds of brilliance. Questionable dialogue does not in and of itself disqualify a movie from brilliance.

Not only is it a thematically excellent and very thoughtful film, but it's also visually incredible.

Yeah cinematically it looks nice but I disagree, having good dialogue is part of what makes a movie brilliant

It's a visually exhausting series that gets more and more self indulgent. He needed a script supervisor.

It sure can't be window dressing.

The visual effects should be the window dressing, not the story or characters.

Yeah it enhances the story. I agree With you 100%

I can’t imagine anyone saying this movie was brilliant. Fun and all that jazz sure, even gives you the payoff you’ve been waiting for but most
Certainly not a masterpiece

Well again, there are different kinds of brilliance.

I don't feel like a movie has to hit a homerun in every category to be worthy of the term.

Personally, I think that ROTS delivers so strongly in the narrative/thematic and visual categories that I can forgive some clumsy dialogue.

Besides, most of the clumsy dialogue is really in Attack of the Clones. I'm not sure where your criticisms lie for Sith. Sith is the movie that delivers winners like the "not from a Jedi" scene where Palpatine turns up his recruitment of Anakin to 11. Great scene, great dialogue.

I would have enjoyed it more had he not murdered the children. I am glad they didn't show him hacking them to death although that would have been awesome because it would have been so dark and stuff.

What would have worked for me was an emotional payoff, a feeling of tragedy at what happens to Anakin. Instead, he gets what he deserves.

I liked the kid killing part because it shows how desperate the dark side can make a person

He was so overtaken with the dark side he did all this awful stuff just to save someone he loves. It’s so mental but that’s the temptation of the dark
Side for ya.

Then he kills his love making all that happened before it even more
Mental

"Finally, the only kid that talks in this movie dies. They all die.
These are positive changes."

To re-use a line of reasoning, there are many ways to write desperation other than killing yunk-- dunklings?
Dunkin'lings?
What's my name?

The whole time he was foreseeing her death, he was seeing what happened because of what he did. She kind of died from a broken heart as much as anything.

Anakin was never a convincing character for me. In all sorts of aspects.

I think the scene where he "takes care" of the trade federation was kind of meant to show what it looked like with the younglings. Where he is in pain hacking and slashing, and his eyes turn sith. That showed what it would have been like, especially the sounds of pain (from anakin) as he struck death blows.

There seem to be a lot of biblical allusions in the prequels.

Anakin asking Padme if she's an angel is one. Naboo equaling the Garden of Eden is another.
*smh*
Yesyes and Schmoo giving virginal birth to the redemptive Christ figure, how deep and meaningful is the dreck.

The writing, the plotting. If you think of him as more of a Johnny from The Room type character the movie starts to make more sense.
The animated series and comics fleshed him out greatly. Too bad the movies didn't show any of this development.
