The point about ROTJ and the difference in Luke "snapping" is I think a good and honest one, how much time and skill that film invests in building up to that moment compared to TLJ rather than simply "Leia being his weakness".. The difference between simply stating a characters motivation and building drama effectivenly on screen.
here you go, a nice simple short reply.
As I've stated many times... is that is your opinion it's not enough... but the lead up in TLJ to Luke snapping is clearly in the movie from 2 or 3 different scenes & so that's not in question. we just disagree about whether more was needed for effect. (your last statement above) That's fine for us to disagree.
What my retort was about was how you said I made it out to be a requirement that you had to read the novel. I literally said "It's all in the movie" & your retort was "so what you're saying is I had to read the novel."
So you see our conversation is not as simple as you're now trying to make it out to be & you're every bit a part of why it's getting drug out.
