@Adamant You must, must MUST watch DS9. The first couple seasons are not as good (like early TNG). But then it picks up, you will be mind-blown. Also the Defiant gets introduced, a small ship but one specifically for battle. You will love it. Promise.
Will do.
Where does Sisko rank against Kirk, Picard, and Janeway?
UPN the network was failing and went through a number of leadership changes in ENT 4 year run. The show was given the the death spot, Friday nights at 9pm and was basically fighting to survive from season 2. There was also franchise fatigue, so the show never really had a chance. Many fans also didn't like ENT at first because of how different it was, and how slow paced it was in season one(me included) Like many others, I decided to give it another chance once it became available on netflix, and was able to binge watch it. Its now one of my favorite Trek series.
DS9 season 3-7 is probably the GOAT of trek. The serialized dominion war arc is epicDamn, is that DS9? I'm currently binge-watching TNG, my favorite Trek series, and lovin' every minute of it. But I look forward to checking out DS9. I've never actually watched it before. Not even a single episode. Just something not as interesting to me about the main story taking place on a station rather than on a ship. But I'll check it out once TNG is done.
Btw, something I noticed.... there's quite a few episodes where the Enterprise jobs in a fight. I don't get it. I also watched an episode of Voyager recently (where they get sucked into The Void) and Voyager jobbed almost instantly once going inside. You'd think it was a weak ass ship based on that. I'm shocked though to see how often the Enterprise D jobs as well. Their shields are constantly losing power and going offline with only a few hits, and their weapons don't seem to cause much damage when they do fight. I thoughr the Ent-D was way more powerful than that. There's no question in my mind now that the E absolutely rapes the D in a fight. It's not even close.
Also, unless I missed it (because I've skipped several episodes along the way - I probably watch about 16-18 per season, skip roughly 4 on average) Picard rarely orders "Maximum Warp". I literally only recall it happening like three times so far, and I'm on Season 6. Perhaps it happened on a few of the episodes I skipped, but I thought it happened a lot more often than it actually does.
no, no she isnt.Is she any good?
I don't watch TWD, but most comments I'm reading seem to be positive. Is she any good?
The D is an exploration ship first and foremost. It was built during relatively peaceful times, and was meant to explore for years at a time. It is a powerful ship, but had its flaws. The E was built to fight the borg. While its also an exploration ship, it was also built to be fast and deadly. It just has much more offensive power.Damn, is that DS9? I wonder if her character will be heterosexual and cis-gender or not. Guess we'll see just how SJW dominated Star Trek will be in 2017. I got a bad feeling about this.
You want sisko during the shit just got real moments. He'll make the hard choices and doesn't pull his punches.
Picard is great at almost everything, but he can sometimes think too much, or try diplomacy.
Janeway is very wisht washy and rides the prime directive harder than Picard, but she can bust out some crazy shit when pushed too far.
Kirk is a more emotional sisko which gets him in trouble way more.
I haven't seen a single episode of enterprise yet, and I have rewatched TNG, TOS, and DS9 multiple times. Once I finish up my voyager watch, I'm hitting enterprise hard.

Bajor, trying to get DS9 up ad running, Maquis, Cardassians, Worm Hole, and the prophets. Its still really good, Season 3 n is just a different kind of trek. I just rewatched DS9 for the 50th time, and it was still incredible.Damn, I'll definitely check it out when I'm done with TNG.
If 3-7 are all about the Dominion War, what's season 1 & 2 mostly about?

The Galaxy class can't go at maximum warp as long due to its size. Too big and bulky to maintain a warp 9+warp field for long periods. Newer designed ships, such as the Sovereign class, became much more sleek and long.
I have literally ZERO interest in this new show. None. None whatsoever. I think I will watch DS9 instead and maybe Voyager again in its place. And I will always hold out hope for a Post-Nemesis series. Until then....
For it being the "flagship" it definitely doesn't hold up very well in a fight. Not nearly as well as I thought it did.
Btw, can Q read people's thoughts? They make him out to be omnipotent and I've been wondering if he can read thoughts as well. It wouldn't seem like it because there's been a few instances where he was waiting for Picard's response and clearly didn't know what Picard was about to say. Then again, Q seems to be able to move forward and backwards and time and do literally anything he wants, even experiencing different versions of the same timeline. So...
