Dana probably got some good Abhu Dhabi sheikh money to agree to move the time of the PPV, maybe when he talked about it trending to be the biggest PPV he meant for his own pocket not the actual viewership haha
 
It's very normal.
The fact that people thought this would do millions at that daytime in America is pretty insane.

Card was very good though. Actually cards have mostly delivered this year. Only Usman-Mas managed to disappoint.
Dana White calls it a shitty year but quality wise 2020 owns 2019.

More like 2PM Eastern 11AM Pacific cards are guaranteed to be low performers and if it actually did 675k in that time slot its huge and the second time in a row Khabib has done these numbers despite being at a disadvantage time wise.

The real take away from this thread is that Jorge beat Conor by 300k (apparently) against an opponent with no real casual appeal while Conor was against one of the most recognized names in the sport.
 
2 million was always ridiculously hyperbolic but lol if 675k is real. It should have done around a million even with the different start time.

there was a thread on here the other day saying this event was going head to head against that game...LOL

That's actually tremendous. Most buys here are domestic. Int buys will be low because very few people abroad buy ppvs. They tend to get them on TV services that they subscribe to. Those don't count to towards the buys.

What you have to look at is viewership, and not ppv in this case (when the top draw is bigger outside the States than he is in the States).

Given the time slot, I can't believe they did 675k buys.
 
Khabib isn't a big draw and UFC have been overpaying him for a few fights now. Looking at these numbers comparing it to the '2 million' Dana was predicting, this is a disaster. Probably glad Khabib is off the books now. Botted IG followers don't buy fights.

If they are trusting Dana...thats their fault.

But pointing out that these numbers arent good...they are lying to themselves.
And comparing them to College football...doesnt make much sense.
