lol that sucks
B-But Dana White said it was trending to be the biggest event in UFC history?
Gaethje isn't a draw confirmed
"2 million buys"
Airing a PPV at 2pm EST isn't very smart.
Yikes, that's lower than Justin/Tony
Not that bad actually
You’re telling me that Izzy/Costa had better numbers than the number one golden boy Habeeb? Dana must be punching holes in walls right now if those numbers are accurate. I wonder if changing the start time is the cause for this. I had to get up at 2am to watch it where I was in the world.
Reread my post. I said it sucks.
There’s no way this is accurate. I haven’t bought a PPV in years and got this one.
This is probably why Dana was bummed. He saw the preliminary PPV numbers
It would've done more if it waa in normal time. Fuck overseas times. America deserves the primetime ppvs 100% of the time
675k for a midday card..
You're telling me that the international buy is only 170k? I'm having a hard believing in sport business journal number.
Russians, Germans and Brits don't have to buy PPVs afaik. They can subscribe to a sports subscription service and get the event (DAZN, BT, but not sure if BT is still around? Maybe some brit can comment). In some countries UFC also has a TV deal. I'm sure that's the case with most of the international crowd.
Nobody outside of America buys PPV, we are not retarded enough.
In most countries this fight was on free TV
Very surprising. The early start time probably ruined it. I know it ruined the rest of my day staying up till 5 AM with an empty case of beer beside me, though Khabib winning made it worth it, of course.
Khabib vs Poirier was on at the same time and it did 1 million buys, really suprised by this number even with the time change.
Here in the UK it was actually a ppv, but I'm not sure how many would have actually paid for it as ppv isn't really well established in our country.
