I have a feeling with the A.I he will end up ditching it once he realizes he has spidey senses. At least that's what I'm hoping they will do.

@Dragonlordxxxxx Spider Man officially made more than Wonder Woman?

Domestically, no. Worldwide, yes. Wonder Woman ended its theatrical run with $821 million worldwide ($412M domestic). Homecoming has earned $879 million worldwide so far ($333M domestic).

Update: September 25, 2017

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Becomes Highest Grossing Superhero Movie of 2017
(So Far)

Just two weeks ago, Spider-Man: Homecoming crossed the milestone figure of $800 million worldwide, and now it has emerged as the highest-grossing superhero movie of the year, according to Exhibitor Relations. The movie has nudged its way up the list of superhero movies’ performance at the box office through a solid showing in China.

Wonder Woman may have been the break-through hit of the year that grossed more than anyone expected, but these latest stats prove that Marvel Studios and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming is the biggest superhero movie of the year — so far.

Homecoming has beaten out Logan and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, though both Thor: Ragnarok and Justice League are yet to be released. The latter is tracking for a big $150 million opening weekend, so there’s a chance it may over take Tom Holland’s first solo movie as the wall-crawler.

Spider-Man: Homecoming has dominated The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s $709 million, The Amazing Spider-Man’s $759.9 million, and Spider-Man 2’s $783.3 million. The movie is now the eighth highest-grossing superhero movie ever, taking over Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which finished at $868 million worldwide. This total leaves Homecoming $20 million behind the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie ever, Spider-Man 3.

I think what a lot of folks aren’t handling well is the fact they blended 3 source materials to make this movie. They tried to cherry pick from Classic Spiderman, Ultimate Spiderman, and Miles Morales Spiderman.

I too could have done without Stark’s fingerprint on this, but some fans have been intrigued by what could have been with the Iron Spider suit from Civil War (comic version).

Forget Flash Thompson. The bigger crime was making Ganke Lee into Ned Leeds. I love everything about Miles Morales’ Spiderman story, and stealing his “man in the chair” sucks balls. I was truly holding out hope for a love action Miles Morales to grace the MCU.

WhoTF do they make these movies for Teens? 2 hours watching teens trying to be cool and spider-man fighting a bad guy. Then you have flash, wtf happend to him? I thought flash was suppose to be this big buff all american beef cake, not some scrawny indian kid who thinks he is cool.

Yeah, Flash was just ridiculous
I'm fine if they want to make some minor alterations to non essential characters, but they made Flash still be a "bully" character, even though he is literally the least intimidating male in the entire movie.
He didn't have to be the typical jock, but he had no power over Parker here where he could actually be a bully. He was just the annoying kid that no one really liked.

I enjoyed Spiderman very much, but I hated almost all of his friends. Flash was terrible, his fat friend was annoying, and the Emo girl was annoying. Wasn't the love interest a senior, and Parker a Freshman....why would she be interested?
I also don't really like that his identity is already known by so many people so fast. Spiderman has always been one of the most guarded about keeping that secret.

Flash was like cartman but not as evil. Someone who sees themselves as cool when everyone hates them. If you take all the little digs at him he was actually getting a little bullied.

That guy is supposed to get the venom suit later and be badass. Count me the fuck out

Why the fuck would his fat friend say parker knows spider man. I felt like peter should of threatened him, like stfu dummy. I'm sure someone over heard him talking in the hallways about him being spider man and as much as that fat fuck talked guaranteed he told someone about spiderman

Flash Thompson becomes Venom after the Symbiote has seperated from Eddie. By this point, Flash has served as a soidier and lost both his legs. The Symbiote grows a pair of legs for him when he turns into Venom. He carried out black ops for US intelligence agencies.

This was actually a really good comic book series as well

It's stuff like this makes it hard for me to take. Because you're absolutely right. You'd never buy the notion he'd withstand torture; hell, he looks like he would give Parker up at the drop of a Funyan. He's completely indiscreet.

I wanted them to play into that, with high schoolers peeking their heads into frame, "Wait? What did you just say?"

BOTH AT ONCE: "NOTHING!"

I didnt know that actually. My knowledge revolves around the 90's cartoons which i believe followed the comics at least decently. Other than that I dont know too much so I will shut up now.

That kid would be the one getting picked on. My last thing is that i'd like to see Spider Man grow up already. Maybe i'm just a grumpy old man, but enough with the High School drama with Peter being 15. He can still be Spider Man in his 20's.

Yeah, same thing with me, I've always enjoyed his adventures when he is out of high school and working at the Daily Bugle more (even when I was younger).

Although I understand people not liking the new Flash, I find it amusing how worked up some people get about it. Lets face it, Flash has never played a crucial role and hence, has been pretty forgettable in previous movies (both Raimi's and Webb's). I know he plays an important role in the comics. However, if this Flash ends up having as much (or even less) of a presence than the previous movie Flash's (Flashes?), is it really that big of a deal?

Yes he does and is actually very popular. Eddie brock just got the suit back after years of not having it

yes because it was unnecessary. When you do things that are unnecessary common sense would tell you that an agenda was behind it. Its not as big as changing MJ but atleast they could of got some ripped out middle eastern kid with the same back ground but I guess middle eastern kids cant play football

Ok, if you say so. But an agenda? Really? People are way paranoid, loosely throwing that word around when they see something that they don't like. For all we know, they probably saw that the previous movie Flashes were pretty forgettable (they were) and decided to try something new. Also, at what point was it stated that Flash was supposed to be middle eastern? Revolori is from Anaheim of Guatemalan descent, fyi.

I assume his character is a rich Indian kid.

Like i said it takes common sense.

lets see black MJ Indian Flash Fat whatever best friend. Of course there is an agenda. Do you not pay attention to marvel they are constantly changing characters instead of creating new ones

They were going to a magnet school for gifted STEM students- modeled after the prestigious Bronx Science Academy in NYC. The social dynamics and racial demographics represented in the movie reflect the reality of life there- extremely diverse ethnicities of tremendously bright kids. Flash in this movie bullies Peter SOCIALLY, because he is in higher standing at that school. These schools dont have revolve around football teams and jock worship so it makes sense. If you have children or relatives going to school in diverse neighborhoods today you'll know the "alphas" come in all shapes and colors nowadays.

Its especially delicious how many triggered cucks came to this thread to complain about "agendas" being rammed down their throat and unable to enjoy the movie because it defies the tired tropes of the 80's they grew up watching. Particularly @TheStruggle whining once again about SJW's curbstomping his fragile sensibilities and forcing him into his safespace.

wahhh wahhhh muh liberal agenduh
