Movies SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING v.2 (Dragonlord's Review)

If you have seen SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, how would you rate it?

WhoTF do they make these movies for Teens? 2 hours watching teens trying to be cool and spider-man fighting a bad guy. Then you have flash, wtf happend to him? I thought flash was suppose to be this big buff all american beef cake, not some scrawny indian kid who thinks he is cool.

So you wanted them to make the exact same movies that have already been done?

What's the point of keeping everything the same but with different actors?

Bet you wanted them to do an origin story ... a third time
 
characters are in high school. Perhaps as they flush out his narrative things will take shape in a way thats more familiar. But the basic stuff is there: flash is a bully, parker is brilliant but struggles, ect ect ect. The film worked, imo

No, no origins. Its just things like flash not being the beefy hot beef cake like he is in the comics irritates me. Also the high school setting makes it feel like its for younger folks than I am, I am 36. Wish they would have made it that he was in college, freshman year with some hot babes.

I dont believe flash worked. The guy is 5'6 and he isnt the buff, beef cake he is in the comics. He tried to hard to be a bully when he looked like someone who would be picked on.

Honestly they should have left him out

They knew they couldn't use him a third time and especially in the same way as the last two versions.

OMG

First off I never seen Wonder Woman. DCEU sucks - wife made me watch Suicide Squad, that garbage movie. Never saw BVS but from what I heard ... I didn't miss out. I guess WW got great reviews but I hate DECU so much I don't know if I can bring myslef to watch it. I think I will actually watch it some day if I'm bored enough and my back isn't working.

I really love Marvel and Hate DC with such a passion I want them to fail lol. Disappointed they beat Marvel to the punch with the first woman super movie ... oh well the score is still Marvel/DC 2341234/1

Planet of the apes, Gotta tell ya I LOVED LOVED LOVED the first one with James Franco and Dick from Third rock. I never expected it to be so good. Thoroughly enjoyed it and need to see it again. BUT never saw the follow up movies. I gotta get off my ass ... or back on my ass and watch em :p --- sick of reboots, prequels and sequels etc but the apes prequels did a dam good jood job -

Transformers?

Well ... I had the lowest of low expectations going into the first one but my friend at the time (we're no longer friends) dragged my there by the heels. Interesting when your expectations are so low it makes a good movie. I was expecting shit but surprisingly enjoyed the movie. When it opened with Optimus Prime's original voice I was hard immediately. SO GOOD - but that being said, I entered the first film with low expections and entered the second film with high expectations .... the film could not live up to it. OMG the second film was boring. I never thoght I could fall asleep during action scenes ... but 5 hours (it felt like)) of unrecgonizable CGI cars smashing each other with explsions omg terrible. And the rest were the same but I never bothered to watch em

Transformers is so low quality it's almost as bad as Fast And Furious movies and should never be compared to great movies ever.

I would rather watch Spider Man #3 and amazing spiderman 2 and then kill myself before watching Transformers 2 and + again

Whoops I kind of went off on a rant here lol

TLDR: Spiderman Homecomign is the best spinderman movie and you're wrong, deal with it

Dude you should stop being a DCEU hater, you will be missing out on good movies like WonderWoman. I would say BVS was not as good as it could have been but it wasnt as bad as people make it out to be. Also the Dark Knight trilogy movies were pretty awesome with the third being my least favorite but it was good still. Suicide Squad was garbage LOL, Enchantress was the main problem for me, god was she awful.

The Apes trilogy thoough have to be the best trilogy IMO. Better than LOTR and other well regarded trilogies. Watch WW though, you wont regret it and Gal Gadot is HAF.

Toy Story is the GOAT trilogy. Every movie is brilliant.

There are people in film schools that 'read' transformers as art house films. They lack substantive narratives or complex characters, but focus on these artistic, giant shots of robots and stuff. It's like Michael Bay is the newest postmodern deconstructionist film maker. It's all tongue in cheek...funny shit
 
Just watched it. Awesome adaption. I liked the wise cracking, quip filled Spider-Man. It works here with HS age Spidey trying to figure it all out.

His fanboy interactions with everyone is a refreshing change.

Glad we did not get an origin story again.

Michael Keaton absolutely killed it. Keaton needs to play the bad guy mkre often, he brought the menace. Perfect take on the Vulture and tied in very well to the greater MCU.

Best Spider movie in a long, long, time.
