Bagwork Some bagwork from today

I should do a thread about this. See how many can.

Sure. Just for fun. But i dont think necessary for being a complete kicker. Good flexibility, balance and distance awareness is all important attributes.

And cocaine according to my reddit friends. Best kicker in the 80s was probably Philip Rhee

How many fights did you have?

Only six real muay thai fights.

I did a bunch of amateur Sanda fights in the late 90s. But i only count my six muay thai fights as real fights.

I also got my ass kicked in 2007 in a internet challenge match from a big MMA guy. I lost by tko from lowkick. Good times.

I remember seeing Kevin Ross having a sanda fight on his record and in his book, he basically says in the 90s and early 2000s if you wanted to fight kickboxing or Muay Thai it was catches catch can. You had to say yes to literally anything.

Rudy ott great old school fighter turned coach with some great stories from back in that era

What are Sanda rules ? Is it french in origin ?

I watched it, the one on your chanel ? Honestly you guys were sparring. The low kick was good. But all the punched were respectful, he wasn't trying to smash your face in. What online platform was the challenge from ?

Yeah. I remember those a bit older then me. They had many stories from the kickboxing scene in Europe.

Often you wouldnt know the rules when you accepted a fight. And sometimes the opponent would change on the fight day, or the weight class.

But back then, people would just fight anyway.. even if the pay was small.

True warriors.
