Even though I haven't been training all that long I've met pretty much everyone on that list, I have to admit I can see myself in a few of them.

You either stole that post from somewhere or you need to train more, type less. Wrong forum also. Lemme fix that.

that was a good read i'd like to see myself as "the natural" because i am improving i know this one guy who is the proffeser i got an armbar from the guard and we was just going to tap and then he said STOP you have to tuck the hand underneath the armpit now lets start again from the knees :icon_evil

I'm the guy that gets tapped a lot.. don't know if that's on the list though. This is like one of those chain letters that I have to delete from my mailbox every morning. Only difference is that I didn't get a threat to die if I didn't read this or some stupid shit like that.

THE HOLDER. Thinks getting you in north. South for 30 minutes= success.

thanks to my Judo backgorund, I sometimes almost forget to move from a good position.
Pins are sins.

haha... after reading that post, I realize I'm a laugher/Getting Serious Again guy.

great comical post. I can assign a paragraph to all BJJ I have trained with.

The NO-RESPONSIBILITY Guy

and the preperation guy

those are me

Haha. That's some mad shit right there.
I think I float between a lot of them, depending on my mood. Some fucken classics there.

how about the Daddy : the guy who brings his three year old onto the mat. Either he is tapping you and asking if his son if he is hungry for lunch or when you finally get the advantage and about to tap him he says "Hold on a sec, I need to take Jake to the potty."

The Tougher-Older-Guy
The Lazy Possum
The Judoka Guy

I thought this was a great read. I chuckled all the way through, recognizing myself and just about everyone else in my club somewhere in the list. I think the people reading this thread and shooting it down probably recognized themselves in there somewhere and stopped reading because it hit a little to close to home... :)

Im not trying to make myself sound really good or anything, but I think if I am any of those guys it is The Natural. Mostly because that is one of the only ones that talks about the guy being young, and I am the youngest at my gym. I roll with everyone there and it doesnt matter what skill level/size/weight/age, whatever, and I can do alrite against everybody. I rarely get owned, unless Im just completely outclassed by someone who has trained for a long time or just someone who is incredibly strong or has an extreme weight advantage. I think Im also kinda the "Go To Guy" for alot of the newer dudes. I must look like a really nice guy or something haha, because pretty much anytime anyone new comes to the gym they approach me and introduce themselves and ask me some pointers. Im not really that good or anything, only been training like 9 months, but I remember just about everything I learn and Im pretty good at introducing things for newer people. I dont like teaching the absolute basics tho. Like when a guy comes in and has absolutely no clue what he's doing, and he asks you a broad question like "what are some moves that I should know?" I dont know haha, there are so many moves and so many positions. And whats a move? Sub, sweep, pass? Some people expect you to be able to teach them all there is to know on the first day. It dont work like that.

Wow...long post but also very good. I'm a mixture between Mr. Goodwrench, THE HUMBLE **** YOU UP GUY, and the pretzel.

Man, that's some funny shit, fvsocal, cus nearly all those descriptions fit people in my class....
note: didn't read all of 'em.

Me? I would say I'm the "judo guy".

I've also got a blue belt in my classwho, whenever he gets in a bad position, eg: someone gets his back, he'll slow down and talk then through what to do next, as if they don't know.
