Ha ha, this was awesome...you forgot one thoughj, the guy that taps you once in practice and avoids you forever after that...the imaginary title defense ducker, we had those in wrestling...Im still trying to chase down the guy who pinned me in practice then made every excuse not to practice with me again...he ended up quitting, "undefeated" of course.

I didn't think you'd get me. Faux gay guy here, you even got the 80's pop right. Culture club scares the SHIT out of people.

Wow, what a waste of time, really. There's not much funny in there.

Im a bad natural i dont improve that fast like you mentioned.

The NO-RESPONSIBILITY Guy:
This is the young guy who is maybe 20 yrs. old who lives at home. His mom washes his gi, make him dinner, and all he does is go to 2 college classes a day and trains the rest. He is always saying you should come down to train Wrestling at another place or Striking at another, meanwhile you have a 9 to 5, wife and kids and a mortgage...LOL

Guilty as charged, although right now I'm the "yells from the side but can't train" guy

I read it all, very funny. What about the guy who starts as a whitebelt when you did, you roll and you tap him, and he rpocedes to want to roll with you , and you only, going 110% until he taps you back. Shezus christo, everyone taps, GET OVER IT!!!!

I'm the "Scientist." I only want to learn, I try to improve my technique every time I roll, by putting myself into whatever scenario I suck at am uncomfortable with, whatever. The long arduous proccess of improvement.

i would consider my self under the Natural (sorta, just the progresson aspect of it) or the Wrestler. Just cause, i know i came into where i train now with such a wrestler back round, that all i could do is control and stand up and slam. But 5 months later, im getting decent in guard and at ju jitsu.

i'm the pretzel, i'm 6'2 and pretty flexible, so i've gotten real good with triangles

I'm a big fan of this thread so I figured I'd bring it back

good post.

"Practice hero- This guy stinks, so you roll easy with him, and hes convinced he can "come up" in the rankings by tapping you, so he'll go wild out and try hit some crazy heel hook in an effort to get noticed in the class, and loved by the teacher. He trains balls out with zero technique....he wants to be noticed by the entire class"

seen that a lot lol, never works heh.

I read the article a while back. hilarious. I'd have to say I'm the lazy guy who spars easy but occasionaly when there's an audiance or some chick watching i'll put my game up.

great read, i should post it at the school. Im The Tough-Ole-Bastid at 53 and the owner/instructor. i prefer em bigger and stronger when i get the rare chance to work on my stuff
