President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Wednesday night that his proposed wall along the US-Mexico border would need to be see-through so that people on the US side wouldn't get hit by massive sacks of drugs tossed over it.

The comments were part of a lengthy statement Trump gave on the status of the wall, which was a central promise of his campaign. It was the most in-depth Trump had gone into discussing the wall publicly in months.

"One of the things with the wall is you need transparency," Trump said. "You have to be able to see through it. In other words, if you can't see through that wall — so it could be a steel wall with openings, but you have to have openings because you have to see what's on the other side of the wall.

"And I'll give you an example: As horrible as it sounds, when they throw the large sacks of drugs over, and if you have people on the other side of the wall, you don't see them — they hit you on the head with 60 pounds of stuff? Does it take a year to get prototypes built and approved? How difficult is it to design a wall with sensors and access roads; you make it sound like the design for a big ticket weapon system. Designers can copy some or most of the existing perimeter defense designs used by embassies, companies, bases, institutions, other countries etc..The wall doesn't require revolutionary never before seen design.

Where is your proof they are not natives to the land?They are more native to the land than most Israelis, and ironically more Semitic too.

Your argument can be accurately leveled against most Israeli Jews, since they emigrated from North Africa, Iraq, Europe and elsewhere. Only the Mizrahi and Samaritan Jews lived in that area before Jews started migration en-masse in the 20th century and probably a little earlier in the late 19th.

Both points here are based on misunderstanding/equivocation. "Causing resentment" isn't the same as running on it. And "oligarchy invests in both sides narrative" is meaningless.

Concretely, the GOP has promoted and passed policy with the effect of greatly increasing after-tax income and wealth inequality. Those policies are not popular, but people vote for politicians pushing them for other reasons--with racial resentment being the main one. There were dozens of major media Trump-voter profiles and none of them said that they wanted to see Trump repeal net neutrality, cut regulations on banks (or other financial-related ones, like the fiduciary rule), cut taxes on heirs, etc. Polls show that those policies are extremely unpopular. Even defenders of the GOP tax plan here don't defend what it does--they mostly just deny that it does what it does. Even Ryan and McConnell when touting the benefits of the plan ignore 90% of it and focus on small, temporary tax cuts for the middle class as if that was the whole bill. That's not a both-sides issue. Democrats voted against the attempt to make healthcare less accessible and the tax bill.
