So I started collecting vinyl again

Ultimate nostalgia and my favorite industrial album of all time

Bought the original 1990 pressing for $45 which is actually a good deal

So I went to a record store today and found the white vinyl promo copy of this from 1990. And because I'm sick in head I had to buy it

I was actually amazed I came across this in a store more than anything. I mean maybe if it was a store in Chicago I could believe it a bit more

My wife would love that. She bought one of the new versions of the gem doll and has it on display in the music room

Where did she get it?!?! I want one for myself as I'm a toy collector :)

I think Walmart

I haven't but have debating doing it... Now I'm not so sure lol
I was looking through it yesterday, it's long winded. You have to link your PayPal account which is fair enough, choose a bunch of different options, minimum amounts, minimum buyer rep etc. Then you have to sort out all the postage as well, different weights to different countries, costs for 1 or multiples and so on. I have a load to sell but I'm thinking I might just sell the expensive ones on there and try another platform for the cheaper stuff

I'm a pretty experienced eBay seller, so if probably do that over discogs. But I guess it comes down to... What are the costs to selling on discogs, cause eBay fees do suck

You guys still get fees on eBay? It's free to sell over here now, not sure if it's for everything or at any price, but I sold a bunch of stuff last month and it was all fee free

I think I prefer the selling mode on eBay though, Discogs you could have something listed for months, I'd rather auction and get it done with

Last time I checked it was ten percent of the sale price

So there's a hot topic red pressing that just went up

Tell me not to buy it lol. But, $300 is the cheapest I've seen in a while

The only thing I worry about too is that this pressing won't sound great. I don't think Manson ever had the original masters for this record since Trent hates him. If they cut it from a digital recording it'll really be a waste.

How often would you actually play it after spending that money on it? Or any of the others you spent decent bucks on?

As much as possible lol. I've played the Siamese Dream record I bought four or five times already. Usually records I spend a lot on are all time faves so the intent is to play it as much as possible.

That's why I hate paying a premium for older sealed records. Id just open them and play them right away. With picture discs maybe being an exception

That's actually refreshing to hear, especially considering my record collection is so well used that I probably lost at least 50% of their value. I should be sitting on a fortune, but instead I have a soul, and that means a lot more to me than money

It’s been a hot minute trying to track down a full copy of Frank Zappa’s epic rock opera Joe’s Garage, all three glorious acts together. This masterpiece includes my all-time favorite instrumental song, Watermelon in Easter Hay, which just wrecks me every time. I was casually flipping through the vinyl section at Newbury Comics, not planning to buy a damn thing… and there it was. Unopened. Mint. Calling to me. I snagged it so fast it felt like fate. Until now, I only had a first US pressing of Part I, but now I finally have the whole wild, weird, beautiful journey in my hands. I'm absolutely ecstatic. Frank Zappa is one of my holy trinity of guitar gods, right alongside David Gilmour and Chuck Schuldiner. This record is sacred text.

Just got notification that someone just listed this sealed for $200. Checked their feedback on discogs and they have none. Kind of shitty cause I don't trust paying that much to someone with no selling history.

Is there much protection for something like that on Discogs? I haven't bought enough to find out
