Was just listening to my first release of Tattoo You vinyl.
Funky setup, but still sounds great.

I don't think I ever want to hear that album again, because I did it to death as a teenager. However, I can still admit it's a 10/10.I'm on a roll with the 1986 metal pressings lately. All I'm going to say is... Thank God I had a $100 gift card for the record store I went to lol

lol, I understand. I certainly haven't overplayed it at any point. But I feel that way about some albums... although so much time has passed with some I might be open to give them a listen again.I don't think I ever want to hear that album again, because I did it to death as a teenager. Nice pickup. Was in Norway for the week last week and ended up picking this up in a small record store

Damn good choiceI had a voucher from Father's Day and grabbed this upon someone's recommendation.
Can confirm now that it's absolutely sensational.Damn good choice

So unless I find an incredible deal on the simply vinyl pressing... Going for the $40 bootleg. I'm actually pressed how good this sounds for a boot actually. Doesn't sound suppressed.. But does have a little bit of surface noise that you can only hear on very quiet parts of the record. Otherwise the bass and high end sound good.

Yeah, bootlegs have been around since at least the 60s. Mostly in the 60s and 70s it was live performances (see Neil Young getting bent out of shape in a Hollywood record store video below).I had no idea bootleg vinyl was a thing!![]()
I was just talking about this with my coworker a couple weeks ago and came across this. I know it's bit higher than your price range but I think this is a great setup. I have these edifier speakers and honestly when it comes to a bookshelf speaker, it's the best bang for your buck.I'm looking for a decent turntable and speaker combo. It doesn't have to have all the bells and whistles, but I'm looking at spending $200. I know I won't get crystal clarity at that price, but just something decent.
Any recommendations?
