Sweet as man.
In Autodesk Maya (3d animation) the program uses both 'layer' and 'node' workflows simultaneously, so everything is represented with a layer and a node - all you have to do is open one of the various node editors and you can see your project in node layout.
I like layers in that you don't have to try to link everyting up correctly, but I like nodes in that you can more easily see how everything is linked together.
I did use After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop for years. The only one I couldn't find a decent replacement for was After Effects. I had tried Davinci Resolve years ago, but my old computer would not run it smoothly. But when I saw someone on Sherdog a couple of weeks ago mention Davinci Resolve, I thought I would try it again. It runs perfectly on my computer, I am extremely impressed with it. I like it more than After Effects - it has a cleaner workflow. It can read PSD files from Photoshop too.
