Sheriff investigators will recommend Caitlyn Jenner face manslaughter charges.

She will likely plead to misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter and get probation.

I guess he figured if he was gonna be a woman, he better start driving like one...

He should have been convicted of manslaughter the day he became Caitlyn Jenner.

In feb? Why hasn't this been bigger news than his/her transformation?

Yeah but she's so brave. She should be given full immunity on account of her bravery.

This.
But I know better than to wish for justice. She'll probably have to deal with the enslavement of picking up trash on the side of the highway like most brave souls who don't hide their light.

There was a women who just received a few years for killing a person while she texted. Hope the same applies here.

who was she? that is right - a nobody.
Because Jenner has no prior record, it's unlikely she would face any jail time if convicted, said Vomhof, who's testified in 3,500 cases. He said Jenner would more likely face a fine or probation

kill a person - only get a speeding ticket
this no prior record thing is bullshit imo. it should NOT be grounds for lesser charge, it should only be grounds for lesser penalty (smaller fine or shorter jail time, but still jail time ffs).

Some of you guys don't seem to have any contact with the police or the law in your lives. Just because you have an accident involving a fatality doesn't mean you are or should go to jail.

There are 30,000-50,000 fatalities from automobile wrecks a year in the U.S. Most of those result in nobody going to jail. I know that's hard to believe but car accidents happen. Its part of being a driver, when you leave your house you could be in an accident that involves a fatality, maybe even your own, its part of driving.

In the case of Jenner, if he was sober, not texting, they don't have shit on him, death or not. If he was speeding they can get him for wreckless endangerment but even then he probably won't go to jail unless it was extreme, like he was going 90 in a 40.

And the law should be that way too. Car accidents happen all the time, it doesn't mean someone should go to jail over it.

Driving at speeds, switching lanes at the last second because one of the lanes is backed up a bit further than another at a traffic light, not breaking way early, all major no-no's while towing a load.

Jenner is guilty of negligence at the least, he/she chose not to educate himself on how to safely tow a load, and because of that someone is dead. That's not an accident, that's choosing to be an asshole and causing a death because you can't be bothered to tow a load properly.

If Jenner doesn't get charged, there is plenty of reason for outrage. He is absolutely responsible for the decision chain that lead to this woman's death.

Good luck with that. Any attorney is going to eat that alive man. I'm not saying Jenner is not at fault because I don't know, I only know what media outlets have released. But yea, goodluck making the case that he was supposed to go do extra study, there is no such law.

and yes, Jenner should be taking sleeping pills for the rest of his life to get any rest if he doesn't already, because deep down he knows that it's his decisions that ultimately lead to this woman's death. Dude is probably already depressed as shit to do all the crazy ass things he's done the last few years, should be on suicide watch after this, watch for this person to die of an overdose sometime in the next decade or less.

Involuntary manslaughter usually refers to an unintentional killing that results from recklessness or criminal negligence, or from an unlawful act that is a misdemeanor or low-level felony (such as DUI).

A good prosecutor should emphasize to the jury that it is the driver of a towed load's responsibility to drive more safely on account of the extra weight he is towing, and that no study should be required as this falls under the realm of common sense. Ignore what the defense has to say, make a play on the jury's common sense.

Errr, alright. Not sure what that has to do with this case but car accidents happen. Its a part of driving. If he was sober and not texting and not speeding then the law can't do shit.

The problem is we don't know the details because they didn't really release any.

I seriously would not doubt if you are right. Bruce needs help mentally and emotionally. You can't just go getting surgery, a little black dress, and another reality show and expect that to make you feel complete inside.

Maybe, like I said, we don't have all the details. Its a difficult case to stick on someone unless you have real proof he was negligent. THOUSANDS of fatalities in car accidents happen every year where nobody goes to jail.

People use the word accident too often. An accident would be a tree limb falling on the road or a rock slide. Most collisions aren't accidents. Collisions usually happen because of bad decisions made by one or more drivers. In this case, it appears that Jenner was driving too fast to control the vehicle. He doesn't even need to be speeding. He couldn't stop with the brakes on his vehicle. He was obviously following too close and driving too fast for conditions. Not intending to do it doesn't make it an accident.
