whats the over/under on whether or not iohc86 can toss his own salad?
I am new to this forum, so I haven't been around reading how people deal newbie questions. But this thread is a microcosm of everything really good and everything really bad about the internet.
People asking questions and others giving awesome answers degenerates into another keyboard pissing contest, one of those situations that proves 99% of people out there are jerks. And it really sucks because in a short while of reading this forum I was impressed with how cool and professional many posters here are, but like everything on the internet it gets watered down.
"part of winning an argument is having the other party be willing to listen to you. If you insult the other person, no matter how great your point/argument is, you will always lose." One of the more quote worthy posts I have seen in awhile, kudos to devil.
I always laugh when people say the internet is a mean place. How fucking sheltered has your life been that you get distraught over online text?
I think there's some big misconception that people will just stop being people the moment they log in. Wrong.
Yeah but I think the web is a lot more like road rage than normal interaction. People talk all sorts of shit when their in their car. Anonymity breeds a lot more assholes than normal person to person interaction.
Whats your point Bacon? Everyone should just going around and be rude because most people are doing it already?
Like I said this thread showed the best and worst of the internet. People giving answers that go deep into talking about the physiological reasons why you should use one exercise over another. And you also have the third person responding with "go Benoit yourself"
You just really have to separate the wheat from the chaff so to speak when you are trying to get any information off of a message board.

All he wanted was to argue that cable rows>barbell rows. And after a few responses, he knew this was a place that preferred barbells > machines. Still, he persisted. That is trolling. He got what he deserved.
