It was clearly accidental, and that's part of what happens in fights.

That's true, however whenever a foul occurs, accidental or not, the ref is supposed to pause the fight.

In terms of a fist fight, it is what it is.

In terms of a sports competition, the rules should have been enforced

your offense should've consisted more than 95% of jabs, and you should've stood your ground and fought in the pocket in some of those exchanges that DDP was trying to force. no matter who you think won, you have to admit it's not a good look to be retreating and defending the majority of the fight while your only offense is a jab.

Stricklands jab lands like most fighters straights.
