Sean O'Malley is NOT a Star.

Hanging out with a felon for marketing is 100 times worse than just hanging out with a felon. Sounds good. That totally makes sense lol

Yeah, because that means he was looking at it from a money standpoint - because all of these facts were known before Omalley hung out with him. He only 'changed his opinion' after the guy was convicted -- the story and the case had been around a long time before that. So he hung out with a child predator felon because he thought it would make him money. Thats pretty fucking bad My guy, and if you dont think so I'd question what you were up too in your free time.

Your non-answers have ironically made things perfectly clear that the issue is not with Sean but it's with yourself. Thanks for clearing that up.

You're fucking weird.

Actually from what I understand is he changed his opinion after Brian Callen gave his negative opinion on 69.

It's not weird. You can't give any specifics. That's what haters do: They hate but then when asked what the issue is they have nothing specific to say. And that's because the issue is actually with themselves and not the person they're hating on. Their negativity is a reflection of themselves.
EDIT: End of story. Cope.

Not epic -- but he seems pretty successful in promoting his lifestyle Brand, considering how he was grown in a UFC lab.

He has haters. Yep. But haters hate out jealousy and envy. So who cares about them.

And haters definitely are not the majority.
Did you realize this is the shitfest Sherdog has become? lead by the guy who made this post Poirierfan lol. Cringe MMA fans hating 24/7 and for the dumbest reasons.

Ticket sales has issues strictly because the UFC priced them ridiculous. UFC isn't cheap to see live. But they priced this like the NFL prices the Superbowl compared to every week games. What is normally a 250 to $300 ticket is $2000 ticket.

I don't think anyone should question O'Malley's drawing power over ticket sales to the Sphere. Conor's comeback might be the only person that could've sold it out. I think the UFC would have the same issues with any other fighter or combination of fighters, outside of just simply completely stacked wholly shit kind of card.
Someone speaking common sense on Sherdog! I'm shocked because you don't see it much anymore here lol

That's why I mostly stay away. I was even abused by a moderator here. You can probably guess which one. So yep Sherdog is kind of a cesspool lol

So the entry level definition of star is a guy who can sell an entire PPV by himself vs a midget for an event which came out with $3000 minimum ticket price?
(With female co main)

C'mon bro.

This is a UFC /Dana failure.

Dana has a ginormous ego and couldn't handle that the regular venue decided to book Canelo instead for Mexican night... so Dana with no actual friends to check him on his bullshit threw a 20million dollar mantrum and here we are.

Dana decided to counter program (arguably) the biggest star in boxing ...
with a bantamweight title fight,
female comain fighting the same opponent 3x in a row,
and no card support under them.

Who fucked what up here?

sean is in fact a star because he is exciting to watch and does win against certain odds and just looks better each time. is it due to his persona? no for the UFC has done an intelligent job in tailoring his marketing in such a way and then there is his extroverted unorthodox way of dressing to sense of overall fashion.

to understand the man just follow him on snap, to which is a relatively humble lifestyle of training, ranching his hens, spending time with his daughter and lots of video gaming. the real O'Malley is nowhere near as unlikable but actually the opposite. thing is such activities (gaming, weed,) etc dont exactly make you a witty bastion of charisma, aka what he lacks.

You touched on a good point though. He's not a star because he's a midget fighting other midgets.

The UFC has had one midget star in their entire history, so it's a very rare thing to achieve.

More power to O'Malley, still think the UFC overestimated his star power for this event. Besides the main event the card is kinda shit imo (I like the co-main a little).

I wonder what your benchmark is for being a "Big star" in the UFC. What's your criteria? And who are the current "big stars"?

Sean needed help for sure, Dana told us that this card would be one of "epic proportions". Then he gives fans a giant pile of shit on paper.

It's meant for Mexicans yet I don't know one fucking Mexican on the card. You're going up against Canelo and you choose to overprice yourself at the Sphere? Why not go to Mexico? No Mexican or normal person can afford that shit.

The UFC has no real stars right now. Jon Jones maybe and Izzy? The point is Dana needed to fill the card with names for the monumental event, but he didn't.

Yup.

But to be fair -- I don't think Sean-Merab was the UFC's top choice to be at the top of the Noche Card when they were putting together the Riyadh Mexican Independence Noche.

It's kind of comical. <lol>
