Social Scandinavia trip suggestions

So the plan is to go to two Scandinavian countries/cities the first week of April. We're going to be there 8-10 days approximately.

We have been debating which two (probably all we'll have time for) and I'm pretty certain we want one to be Denmark/Copenhagen. The other is a toss up between Norway, Sweden and Finland. Chances are well only be hitting the capital city of whichever ones we decide.

Trying to get suggestions on places and things to see. Iceland is out of the question. Any compelling reason to go to one over the other?
Copenhagen is awesome so good choice. Personally, I'd go back to either Bergen in Northern Norway (go see the fjords, they're amazing) or Stockholm in Sweden(beautiful city, great history)

I only stopped in here for lunch but want to stay next time: https://grandhotel.se/en

I lived in Amsterdam for 4 years, red light districts aren't all they're cracked up to be. I'm curious as to why you thought Scandinavia was known for them haha.
Some of them are just too rude to get a normal job in horeca. How do you speak no english or dutch yet still present yourself as a rude pos?

But I found Oslo pretty mediocre so go into nature.
Agreed, which is why I picked Bergen as a second stop.

I did like seeing the remains of the Viking long ships at the museum in Oslo though, pretty cool.

Yeah Bergen is great, also home to a good metal festival (Beyond the Gates).

I missed out on the Viking ships as the museum was closed for renovations, that was a huge bummer.

Bergen's in southern Norway.

The weird hippy commune? Yeah, that was pretty cool.

Yeah. It was like a free town where they illegally sold cannabis without police/authorities interfering, it was quite interesting.

I did a google and apparently police shut that down completely in 2024 and dug up the street, lol. So I guess maybe not a good recommendation to go there now.

They’re not Swedish, Mac, they’re Norwegian.

Remember that and you’ll be good.

These cities, 3 days should be enough. They are not that big and it's easy to get around.

Oslo:
The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History.
The VIking ship museum is also right in that area.
Arkeshus Fortress.
Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri for food and Drink
Kniven for drinks

Stockholm:
Gamla Stan (the old town)
Aifur (a very cool viking themed restaurant, highly reccomended)
Sjätte Tunnan ( also nice old european place to eat/drink)
Stockholm Medieval Museum (free!)

Copenhagen:
Tivoli Gardens
National Museet
Freetown Christiania (AN ABSOLUTE MUST)
Kastellet Fortress
Zeppelin Rock Bar
( You can also take a quick train into Malmö, Sweden from here, if you wish)

Yeah... I just looked at a map. I thought I remembered it being way further up. My bad

Still amazing and I had the greatest fresh salmon that I have ever had in my life.
Bergen is indeed drop dead gorgeous.

I guess I should read more than one source and maybe not just skim through it

It's one of those places that managed to stay stuck in time in some ways. Even though there are alot of tourists, you can def see there are old folks who have lived there for 40 yrs and it makes me mad jealous. What a life!
