Social Scandinavia trip suggestions

I seen it when I was there. I swear.

There are eastern Europeans but seeing "thugs /gangs" of them is pretty much a no.
Malmö is not known for eastern European gangs, as i said most gang people are MENA first and second generation.

Eastern European, mostly focus on stealing stuff, often from farms and construction sites.
The smuggle it out of the country via ferries to Poland.
You wont see them roaming the streets in packs.

I didn't see in packs but I saw one and locals told me he headed a gang. I'm just sayin what I saw and was told.

Anyway, didn't have any issues w Malmö myself. Liked it quite a bit

aha you saw one guy....
Well there was this guy known as the Jew, he was /is a leader of a gang.
Not a gang of jews how ever. He was pretty much the only Jew in the gang.

Malmö is a shit hole with complex, its manage so somehow be a back water town and when ever newspapers ask people "what is great with Malmö" they always gets the reply "its close to Copenhagen".

Best cruise i ever did was the Scandanavian cruise. If you like amazing scenery you could do much worse.

Okay, don't know if it matters much but we've decided to do two nights in oslo, two nights in Stockholm and two nights in Copenhagen. Flying into Denmark and flying out of Norway.

Went all capital cities, huh? Well, have a blast. Visit Christiania in Copengagen. A little slice of insanity, but very fun.

And you can easily stop in Malmo(right across the bridge in Copenhagen) in case you want to see a fairly crappy city.

Weird timing. My friend just got back from spending Christmas and New Years in Norway. Text from him about an hour ago when I was asking about it: “Oslo was a little overrated, I’d do 4 nights in Tromsø and 4 nights in Bergen if I was going again.”

I have no idea what any of that is but take that for what you will. Hope to go there one day, one of my dream vacations

Your friend is right. Western Norway>>>>>>>Oslo

Never been way up to Tromso, but seen Bergen and Alesund, and that was way better than Oslo. Though I am not huge on Capital cities in general, so grain of salt and all that.

So the plan is to go to two Scandinavian countries/cities the first week of April. We're going to be there 8-10 days approximately.

We have been debating which two (probably all we'll have time for) and I'm pretty certain we want one to be Denmark/Copenhagen. The other is a toss up between Norway, Sweden and Finland. Chances are well only be hitting the capital city of whichever ones we decide.

Trying to get suggestions on places and things to see. Iceland is out of the question. Any compelling reason to go to one over the other?
I went to Sweden for a month 30 years ago. I won’t be much help here but Stockholm was cool

Flying into Denmark... Staying three nights in a hotel. Taking the train to Stockholm. Two nights there in a hotel. Then train to Oslo for two nights and have an apartment there.

All three places we're staying are right next to the central train station.

Definitely going to Christiana and Tivoli when in Copenhagen. Also whatever nice restaurants we can get into. There are 26 Michelin star restaurants there so I expect big things from the city in that regard.

The short list for Stockholm: ostermalm food hall, hornstulls waterfront, sodormalm. Also a couple museums I came across.

Nothing concrete for Oslo

One thing for sure I will be doing is hitting up record stores to find vinyl in every city.

If you like beer hit up mikkeller & warpigs in Copenhagen.
