Are you actually as stupid as you come off?

You talk about high profiles getting gift decisions in boxing and ask for me to provide some in mma.

It's just not the same. That fight wasn't nearly the event that this was, which is why it didn't cause near the outrage, is that hard to understand?

Was that a curious decision? Sure, but it was a unanimous decision, there was nothing about Derek Brunson that was particularly impressive, he had some ineffective clinch stalls and 2 take downs on 10 attempts.

I don't really want to defend that decision, there's not much there. But yea, 3 round fight, in which neither fighter really did anything all that effective, Anderson seemed to land more accurately and cleanly, Brunson was more active. I had it 29-28 Brunson, but oh fucking well, inconsequential fight on an inconsequential card. I'll move on.

Anyway, I just really want to stress how terribly they ruined IT by making the clown a "scary clown"

Even in the book... the clown is a normal fucking clown, he's supposed to be because he lures young children and devours them, how are you going to lure children when you look like a fucking Chucky doll?

The entire thing that made it creepy was the clown being apparently normal and then revealing it's sinister motives.

Girl is looking at hanging laundry, clown appears smiling and waving, girl giggles... and then next scene clown is not smiling... girl is like whaaaa da fuck!? Camera zooms on girl, cut scene with girl scream.

And she's gone.

Fucking perfectly executed.

Go to hell New Line Cinema (new production), your version of a horror movie is basic as fuck.

GSP/Hendricks

BJ Penn GSP 1 was a split decision, and in no way shape or form should it have been.....

akiyama getting the UD over belcher
Forrest/Rampage
Vera/Couture
Bisping/Wand and Bisping/Hamill (I actually think Bisping beat Hamill, but I totally see why others don't)
Sherk/Dunham
MM/Uncle Creepy and the judging error
Diaz/Condit
One judge gave Edgar every round in the first Penn fight
Nam Phan/Leonard Garcia (or any decision Garcia has ever won)

Lol. I remember when you would go to the movies pre-internet and didnt know what you were getting yourself into. Never had that experience though.

This happened with me when I was like 11 and someone took me to see Species... Ooops, no one said the Alien is hot and fucks everyone.

We went to see Major Payne on base here when I was a kid
they screwed up and played the Goldblum psychological thriller, 'The Hideaway'...

I was just sitting there like 'wtf is this shit?'

Those are largely just controversial decisions, not terribly shitty ones.

Leonard Garcia should never be brought up, again no one cares about some back room casino level fighter.

I mean it was on the main card, and won FOTN honors
but you're right. I don't recall any UFC equivalent of say Bradley/Paq...

Pride tho? yes haha

GSP/Hendricks

Better.

But go review all those scorecards etc. Judges were consistent in what rounds went which way, it was a split decision. I also didn't agree because Hendricks had done so much damage.

It's not like the cards were 49-46 Hendricks / 47-47 Draw and 50-45 GSP.

Then, clearly, you'd be like WHAT THE FUCK!?

She actually made a similar mistake in the internet era too. She took my much younger brother to the South Park movie because he was begging her to see it. She had never seen the show, but figured it was a cartoon, how bad could it be. She also apparently didn't notice the R rating. Needless to say my brother was singing Uncle Fucker around the house for weeks. I had already moved out, so I missed the aftermath, but she was cursing herself when she told me about it.

Oh damn, that reminds me of something I had completely forgotten about. My friend's mom took us to see Home Alone when it came out and for whatever reason, they started showing Superfly for a few minutes until half the adults in the theater started running for the doors to complain. I promised not to tell my folks because my friend's mom was so horrified, but by the time she took me home she had calmed down and told them. I think she expected them to be pissed at her for some reason, but they just laughed.

This is my point. And even if you find one, they aren't as numerous. They aren't AS egregious.

There are shit decisions in mma all the time. Youre just moving goal posts to suit your argument.

Worst decision I've ever seen in MMA was Rockhold/Jacare. It was in Rockhold's home town and clearly Strikeforce wanted him to win because the commentators were twisting themselves in knots just to claim it was close. Jacare beat his ass. No one will ever convince me otherwise. Even though it's not his fault, it's the original reason I've never liked Rockhold (though he's given everyone plenty more reasons since).

I mean Cecil Peoples is pretty much shitty decisions incarnate

No I'm not. That was my point the entire time.

Shit this was your bone to pick anyway. I just called the decision shit, you took some issue with it because I am supposedly not as outraged with poor decisions in MMA, which I'm not, primarily because they haven't been as high profile or heinously awful. In my opinion anyway.

I think you're just salty because your boy Canelo got walked down for 8-9 rounds, started looking gassed and most certainly lost that fight, which was the opposite of what you've been peddling for over a year.

So whatever, I guess you're happy there's a definite rematch on the books so you have a chance at redeeming yourself.

To be fair, Canelo was better and more durable than I thought, otherwise GGG's pressure and Canelo's inability to deter him was about what I expected. I just thought I'd see a late stoppage. Good show, terrible decision.

You bras never watched TUFF?

Lesson #1

Never leave it in the hands of the judges

Please go watch that again.

Rockhold won, it wasn't 50-45 as one scorecard had it, but he certainly won.

Also. Saw the new IT movie this weekend.

It's a fine movie if you just want to see a semi clever cheap thrills hollywood style horror movie.

But they completely missed the mark with that dumb ass clown, Pennywise is a creepy clown (cause all clowns are creepy) but the whole thing is that he's meant to look like a relatively normal clown, he's just sinister... which makes the shit creepy.

This garbage ass clown was just made to look scary. What's creepy about that? Nothing.

Also, you can build tension in a scene and have things be more terrifying without a bunch of panning the camera "insert thing that pops out of darkness with loud noise". I mean fuck how many times can you do that in one movie?

There's some positives, definitely a massive improvement in acting and production over the original, but the original had the clown nailed down perfect, and didn't succumb to that cheap horror movie formula of things popping at the screen with loud sounds to make you jump.

What could have been fantastic just ended up like a typical Texas Chainsaw movie.

Anyway, I just really want to stress how terribly they ruined IT by making the clown a "scary clown"

With posts this long why dont you write a book while you're at it. Jeeez

I always thought it was weird how they do crazy stuff at the TUF mansions. I get they're locked up essentially w/ no outside contact (or even internet AFAIK), but it's not that bad.

Any person that has been in an all male Army or Marine unit has done the same type of thing, except you're in actual danger, out living in tents somewhere in the cuts, with way worse food and living conditions, etc....

and we don't start throwing beats into people's food, or having drunken 'let me bang bro' rants, or calling people fatherless bastards, etc...

best part of TUF tho was Nate's 'I'm nick's bro. He's karo's nephew. That has to suck' hahaha
