our navy is in a weird spot, doesn't help congress keeps trying to act like they know better an screw with the navy's ability to scrap those LCS Turds. Also doesn't help we canceled the DDG-1000 program WAY to early because, again congress doesn't understand that when you build more things get cheaper.
Also we still have a cruiser Gap. Plus aren't most Burkes upgraded to a current standard?

Pretty sure the navy wants bigger ships again to deal with adverse sea conditions that climate change is bringing.
The larger modern destroyers and cruisers handle rough seas better.

Companies like Google, Facebook, IBM, Apple, GM opened engineering an software development centers in Montreal an Vancouver. To hire AI professionals but many went on to start companies.

Our government might actually discuss doing all expenses paid repatriations to those who voluntarily want to go to Russia, because people are collecting signatures about this right now.
If they don't like what we're doing here, just let it be known, and we'll buy you a ticket to the motherland, if life is so much better there.

Our main battle tank is the Abrams. I’m not sure exact when it entered service, but it was used in desert storm so at least since 1991. It has been refitted and upgraded in a number of ways since then but i is still the Abram.

I think this is why the USN is lateralling to big ships. The military industrial complex has shown to be incapable of making large quantities of a new LSC. The US aircraft carriers(carriers are probably obsolete but that ain't the point) lead is based on the fact they've been accumulating carriers at the speed of sloth since 1975. Carriers used to take 5 years to build and now despite being pretty much the same size it's 8 or 9 years. So making a few big missle ships might make sense if you just aren't going to be able to produce a shit ton of Zumwalt sized ships why not just go the route of fewer(but more than 3) large combatants?
Big ships don't offer the overpowering advantage they did during the gun era but individually a big ship is still superior. it's just they have more of the same sort of weapons as opposed to being on a completley different level of power as we saw with battlehips versus cruisers(not the Alaskas btw). Big missle ships don't make as much sense in a missle context as battleships did in a gun context but they're still worth building especially if you can't poop out a gigantic fleet of smaller vessels. Yes the US can keep building the Burke for eternity which has become cheap because of the quantity and familarity with the design but I mean something new.
It's crazy their attempt to limit spending actually made fraud and abuse worse. Insane that a program(Zumwalt) was completed at twice the original contract with the contractor only completing a fraction of the order. This is why the US has no chance of competing with China. China doesn't set bs limits on themselves. But hey the US can't be having the poors thinking they can have human rights so they got to play act that the deficit is a problem. And that mentality ties the US's hands in all regards.

I have to cut in the F35 was over budget but as they produced them the costs of manufacturing it also came down from around 170 million per plane to 70 million even fully decked out ones can be had for 110 million each. But overtime these costs will drop and the Zumwalt class destroyer is not so much about said Destroyer it's about bringing the operation costs and reducing the radar signature substantially over previous destroyers. The first one has already been deployed to Guam for readiness trials. Again the 4 billion dollar cost for it was due mostly to the upfront expense of such a complex system. The benefits of the Zumwalt is its operational range far better then previous "electrical propulsion with higher efficiency diesel generators, less then half the crew and vastly improved living environments". Zumwalt was designed to be very easily upgraded as new technology become economically possible such as laser based weapons and if they work out the issues even railgun based system thought first one was way way to expensive. These issues should not kill these programs as they will resolve many of these issues look at the 3rd generation F22 still the only fully operation 5 generation fighter with technology to lower the heat signature. There are also other options for NATO nations that improve the serviceability of these fighter aircraft.

Apparently a refugee woman that works as a hairdresser shaved a letter Z on the little russian homies head.
Maybe this might be slander and someone from the kids family shaved it in themselves to stir shit up, and get clicks about the bad Ukrainians, IDK.
Who takes conveinient before and after vids of haircuts like this, and films how their broken phone is fixed at a repair shop which is right across the barbershop, unless it's on purpose for some bullshit.
Buuuuut, knowing the tense relations between the people, might be true too. But don't take your frustrations out on a child, ffs
