Russia release numbers too.

https://tass.com/world/1490759

According to this the Ukrainian army only had a few thousand men left at the start of August.

I guess the real number is somewhere between 9000 and "much higher" than 193,000.

Kiev regime’s irretrievable combat losses may exceed 193,000 — DPR militia
It is believed that the figure might be even higher

MOSCOW, August 8. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army’s irretrievable losses may exceed 193,000 service members since the beginning of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, Spokesman for the DPR (Donetsk People’s Republic) Militia Eduard Basurin said on Monday.

"This has to be mentioned. The figure will, perhaps, even be much higher. These are the figures that they give. I believe that the scope may even be larger," Basurin said in a live broadcast on Russia’s TV Channel One, responding to a question by the anchorman about whether he could confirm the information that the Ukrainian military’s irretrievable losses amounted to 193,000 service members, as reported by Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny, according to some media outlets’ data.

As the spokesman for the DPR people’s militia specified, irretrievable losses included killed military personnel and crippled service members who could not rejoin the troops.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24 that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics for assistance he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine.

The West retaliated by imposing numerous large-scale sanctions on Russia. Along with this move, Western countries ramped up the deliveries of weapons and military hardware worth billions of US dollars to the Kiev regime.

And that's precisely why I don't read or pay attention to Russian media lol

Who would believe those figures?

Nobody! That's why I posted them. Describing them as "irretrievable" indicates trained military losses, not new conscripts. According to that the entire pre-war army has already been defeated.

Wildly different estimates of casualties is normal though if you look at conflicts across history. Modern conflicts where the western side appears to report accurate numbers are still very much the exception.

Oh I can definitely agree with that. As a matter of fact it's why I agreed with the 9k estimate sourced earlier for Ukrainian kia. Seemed in the rough ball park anyhow imo

Surprised the civilian toll was that low tho. But it'll take years to find out the truths on that one.

It seems the Russian group also officially have taken responsibility for the bombing

"The group calls itself the National Republican Army of Russia.

- We, Russian activists, military people and politicians who are now partisans and freedom fighters in the National Republican Army. We hereby declare the warmongers, robbers and oppressors of the Russian people illegal, reads the introduction to the manifesto that the group has issued on Telegram after the assassination. "

According to the rebel group, all businessmen, politicians, military personnel and others who support Vladimir Putin are now legitimate targets.

- Those who will not lay down their arms and tear off the degree signs on their shoulders will be destroyed by us, it is stated in the manifesto, where the group also writes that its goal is to overthrow Vladimir Putin's government and make peace with Russia's neighbors."

Putin reinstates Stalin-era decree

"Russian President Vladimir Putin recently reinstated a Soviet-era award, giving women who have ten or more children a single payment of a million rubles (worth $16,747 USD, as of publishing).

The honorary title and certification of "Mother Heroine" are given to the mother once their tenth living child turns 1 year old.

According to Putin's decree, mothers will still be eligible for the award if their child dies as a result of war or from an act of terrorism, or in an emergency situation."

193k is obviously insane and not real.

Tesla suing a former hardware engineer for potentially stealing dojo technology secrets. Any guess where his family comes from lol. Dr. Yatskov is being taken to court he's complaining the contract allows them to announce the name of defendant he's not happy.

"
Dr. Alexander Yatskov is Vice President of Engineering at Thermal Form & Function Inc., bringing extensive experience in high technology innovation and product development. He received his Doctor of Engineering degree from Moscow Technological University and MSEM degree from Tufts University. Prior to joining Thermal Form & Function Inc., he worked for 10 years at Cray Inc., where he engineered cooling systems for Red Storm, XT-3, XT-4, Jaguar, Titan, and other supercomputer platforms. what is dojo technology?

It was only this time last year but I guess we've already forgotten Kabul. The Taliban should have held a parade of captured weaponry, would have probably lasted a week.

@hitcher

How did you like this?

Blatant propaganda, lacking in fact. Suggesting that the equipment America left in Afghanistan (because it was cheaper to buy new equipment than repair old, or because the politicians got campaign donations from equipment manufacturers) is equivalent to equipment destroyed and captured by an enemy force in a live conflict, is disingenuous.

It's not like for like.

Is it because regardless of the lack of logic it fulfills your narrative desires?

Plus, Russia has hit Ukraine with over 1100 ballistic missiles during this period. Was nobody killed in those strikes? 9k just doesn't seem believable.
God knows...
It is confirmed by Ukr that majority of them had hit civilian targets...a lot of them were abadoned....

Also there is stuff, that for example missiles had hit in one episode 4 abadoned warehouse buidings, field with wheat, landed in lake...

Etc stuff...
Also I think that maybe some from these missiles claimed as shot down by Ukr ....just had not functioned properly and felt down .....

IF 1100 Russia's missiles had " hit military targets with surgical precision ( as they sometimes yell )....Ukr long ago should had been folded up...

To use 6,5 m worth missile to hit not working casual civilian car tires repair shop too looked like " big success ".
Only some victims from this were casual civies on the...street...

Or to blow up abadoned warehouse buildings, to land on field with wheat etc...

----

On paper.
Russia's air defense is superior in both ; numbers and quality....
Because majority of stuff Ukr did had was...pre 1992 th era production...old...
While Russia had the same stuff in considerably higher numbers....
Additionally to this, Russia had produced a lot and even designed new models of systems and missiles...

So....without doubts Russia had better air defense equipment and also in considerably higher numbers...

Real outcome: Ukr aviation still sometimes iis flying and even striking them...

Russia's advantage in weaponary numbers vs Ukr in these fields :
Like number of Grad and Uragan launchers....
Was more than 12 vs 1....
Etc stuff...

Still they nor 100% control airspace nor had folded Ukr....in few days or 1-2 weeks...unlike had been predicted...even in posts here and some mass media etc.......

Russian paratrooper Pavel Filatyev defected and released a manifesto after fleeing the country. He released a 141 page document detailing his tour of duty during the first few months of the war. He was active in the Kherson region of the conflict before being injured.

Aftermath: Remaining silent no longer

I survived, unlike many others. My conscience tells me that I must try to stop this madness. … We did not have the moral right to attack another country, especially the people closest to us.

This is an army that bullies its own soldiers, those who have already been in the war, those who do not want to return there and die for something they don’t even understand.

I will tell you a secret. The majority in the army, they are dissatisfied with what is happening there, they are dissatisfied with the government and their command, they are dissatisfied with Putin and his policies, they are dissatisfied with the Minister of Defense who did not serve in the army.

The main enemy of all Russians and Ukrainians is propaganda, which just further fuels hatred in people.

I can no longer watch all this happen and remain silent.

I believe the Ukrainians said about 2k missiles were fired, with 1100 "hits" on something, with the others shot down or missing.
