I feel you're ignoring the conscription and unwilling innocents being sent to fight and die a bit. But your post is accurate.

Ukraine didn't invent conscription. Most world countries have conscription, unfortunately. The enemy has used them btw. And those who are unwilling to fight can often find a way out, or at least help in other ways. It's become such a large front line it is impossible to control it entirely. (though, I am for controlling it as much as the authorities can do it). In these difficult times, anyone can find a way to help his country, even if it's not in the battlefield. I have a friend who has participated in war and he says "anyone is worthy of something in war time".

Regardless, there's no money, modern weapon or threat that will force an armed resistance for a long time. Only one thing can do it: the sheer will of people.

Conscription is a crude necessity for smaller countries in this world, to enable them to survive.

A lot of the Finnish men who fought in WW2 were there because otherwise you were going to be executed. They weren't all there because they loved to fight in freezing winter against overwhelming odds, with the barest of equipment. But that's the only reason we have a country today.

If the thing with Russia goes down again at some point, I'll go in knowing that I'm probably not coming back. Being at war and believing that you'll actually survive it, is the privilege of the countries with large armies and large populations. That's not the case with countries like Finland or Ukraine or the Baltics, etc. That's why you don't see small countries starting wars, only the big ones, believing that they can get away with it. When you're 1 out of 150+ million, it's easier to kid yourself into thinking that you're going to make it.

It's worst than just CIA:

NATO countries are active parties to this war. I mean, I hate Russia's invasion of Ukraine and I hate war in general. However, I think it's irresponsible for our government to put our population at risk to provide help (and to achieve American geopolitical interests) to the central government of a East European country with a very complicated situation between its different ethnic groups.

How Ukraine can't get intelligence even from Russia?
A lot of ukrainians living in Russia since USSR times....does have not only Russia's passports, they are speaking russian without any accent and had been listed as russians by nationality....

In USSR times when Nikita ruled USSR for kids from mixed marriages was popular to gave russian name, take russian origin surname and....to list their nationality as Russian...

Then USSR since Nikita times adopted practic:
housing opporunties were tied to JOB!
I.e factory had quotas for living places: buildings with apartments for perssonel.
Opportunity to get apartments was tied to JOB ....
Private renting was with low market and high prices!

So, factories etc had opportunity to get apartments for personnel for gubeermint's rent prices!

Rule also was that if you don't have where to live in this city and had JOB in this city . ...you have 1 hand rights to get listed on waiting list for apartment....

This created situation that immigrants were with " red carpet " rolled for them.

If you were from Russia and get job in Ukraine or ..
If you were from Ukraine and get job in Russia.….
YOU had xx more opportunity to get where to live in city for cheap!

BTW, if about money. .....It isn't high salary at all if compare with risk and workload on nerves ...

Lol even if America hated Canada they'd still far prefer to fight Russia in Canada than on they're own land .. and good luck crossing half the world to get Australia. There's countless nations who'd lose their shit at military travelling this way. Even if they hate Australia.

Russia is defaulting on its debt and will be declared Bankrupt in a few hours. They already defaulted a month ago, but now the 30 day grace period to pay is up, and since they must pay in dollars which they cannot get due to sanctions, they cannot do so.
Noone really knows exactly what will happen since the situation is pretty unique. They wont be able to take international loans for one -but due to sanctions they could not do so previously either. Ill guess we will see in the coming days.

Our lads had worst ever handling and local media exposure....in Ukraine....100000X worse than in Russia and it was music stuff....Damn....
