I feel you're ignoring the conscription and unwilling innocents being sent to fight and die a bit. But your post is accurate.
Ukraine didn't invent conscription. Most world countries have conscription, unfortunately. The enemy has used them btw. And those who are unwilling to fight can often find a way out, or at least help in other ways. It's become such a large front line it is impossible to control it entirely. (though, I am for controlling it as much as the authorities can do it). In these difficult times, anyone can find a way to help his country, even if it's not in the battlefield. I have a friend who has participated in war and he says "anyone is worthy of something in war time".
Regardless, there's no money, modern weapon or threat that will force an armed resistance for a long time. Only one thing can do it: the sheer will of people.
