Nato members did not prepare for a long conflict and had too high expectations for the counter effective. However, what is being said is that 2024 is going to be a "building year" for the West in which Ukraine plays defense while Nato ramps up production of all the needed equipment. We are at the peak of Russian military spending right now, and it will likely come down in 2025, but that is a long way away.

But as we all know, everything is going to depend on the political situation in the USA. It's ridiculous really, as there are 500 million people in the EU and our countries are both more technically advanced and much richer than Russia. We have all the advantages, but can't use them because we aren't sufficiently united.

Unfortunately for Ukraine they does care more about how to transit Russian natural gas, crude oil and nuclear fuel etc to EU countries rather than about their own citizens.
Mr Zelensky is doing multiple rows with strategic mistakes and his puppet master is Yermak ....real one president of Ukraine.

For example Poland IF financing is provided might replace U.S in field like supply MANPADS.... Their new model is not worse than Stinger and cheaper...
Old model is approx like USSR era Igla from 1988 th...still effective and cheap.
Also Poland is manufacturing self propelled howitzers...and mines....
With sufficient funding Poland might deliver a lot of cheap anti tank mines....

Poland had win in one tender for Estonia ( they never will purchase shit ) to sell MANPADS, while self propelled howitzers tender had won South Korea.
Polish MANPADS had purchased also Norway and Pentagon ( sure they never will pay for shit and most likely ordered batch for evaluation purposes cos Pentagon does support local weapons manufacturers in U.S. ).
Estonian orders are last gen Mistral and polish stuff for MANPADS, Israel won next tender for ATGMS and U.S for anti tank mines.

Latvian tenders for MANPADS had won U.S and Sweden.
While stuff from Sweden is suitable only for professionals unlike with Stinger...
Stinger training IF guy isn't dumb takes 1 day...while Swedes stuff takes damn a lot more.... cos their military mainly is pro they might afford this...
They slowly are re introducing mandatory conscription , therefore Stinger too will be usable tool.
