International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

Yesterday Ukr ( despite their friends of Russia in U.S ) had managed to damage at least 1 radar and 4 launchers stationed in Crimea, Sullivan and Kirby together with Biden might start to cry about their mates in Russia. In Europe Biden's administration is considered not lesser pro russian than Trump after their shit in December 2022 th and September 2023 th..... the same game BTW.

Also one submarine get damages...

There are ofc very serious questions is this even worth foe european tax payers to pay for weapons sold by pro russian Biden's administration and does they have dream that they might regulate how these might had been used? For the same ATACMS like Korean stuff GPS stuff might get removed in 1 day and pro Russia oriented U.S will loss all abilities to control stuff......

Imagine to get war laboratorium like kurds No2 etc in europe is U.S dream?

There also are a lot of questions for Ukraine how they had performed 2014-2021 in reality. Ukraine had enough cheap and skilled workforce and materials to manufacture damn a lot of Anti tank and anti infantry mines, also a lot of other stuff. Instead we had get talks how beautiful will be if ykr will be in EU and NATO....cos then others will send their pros and stuff for free etc bullshit level dreams while doing de facto deMilitarization in real life, Jesus.... reality...

EU CpC Uotf report for initial assesment about transit deals between Hungary and Ukraine in order to ensure russian crude oil transit should be done till March 2025. Dombrovskis.
Till this term we not likely will have legal power to impact Ukraine's actions with crude oil transit in direct manner. EU trade commission.....

Ukraine been flying F-16's in contested areas without in the least feeling in danger of being shot down. Many believed that Ukraine would be unwilling to risk losing the few F-16's they have at their disposal. It really seems like Russia more concerned about getting their own planes shot down and I believe Europe has committed dozens of F-16's if not more and huge numbers of ammo to them. Russia realizes they could face the daunting task and increased losses with this war. The prisoner exchange and recent direct talks between US and Russia unheard of last few years is becoming more common. We will see but things are happening now.
There is opportunity that these for example might use even old models missiles in order to deal with some models of cruise missiles Russia is launching against western part of Ukraine. Imagine if some 30 + years old missile refubrished some 10-15 years ago might deal with 300k - 20 m worth cruise missile if Lucky?

Russian Spetznaz special operations forces troops were recently spotted with a KamAZ-63969 Typhoon-K mine-resistant, ambush-protected (MRAP) armored truck. According to the Russian Milinfolive Telegram channel, these vehicles are “currently quite rare.”

Air defense is probably burning in that video lol.
Seems like they hit it pretty good:
They hit missile/bomb storage. Only thing that can cause that level of destruction. Going to be a lot of equipment damaged or destroyed there.

Ukraine set up an acoustic drone detection system consisting of thousands of phones on poles hooked up to batteries and microphones to detect drones that the US is looking at replicating as a cost effective drone detection system.

Scramble the cheaper drone hunting crews to hunt them down and leave the expensive patriot/IrisT/NASAM etc. missiles for the drones that get through.

Russia is huge. Setting up a system like this would be a logistical nightmare. They'll have to do it but it will take forever. It will leak substantially more than Ukraines and will cost 10x as much to implement if not more. They're going to have to produce more ground to air missiles than the entirety of the west to plug the gaps.

Russia might be able to produce artillery cheaply... ground to air missiles are never going to be cheap.

I can't see Russia winning the air defense battle if the US passes a single bill. Ukraine has gone from 1 successful strike a week/fortnight to 7,10,12 a week in a under a year. They're serially produced now. Ukraine will be dumping billions into these drones. Massive priority.

We should increase our financial aid.

Pay for everything but long range drones <lmao> <lmao> <lmao>

Technically we're not paying for these deep strikes. But it does free up Ukraines money for what ever it is they may chose.

In general these IRIS -T and NASAMS & Patriot aren't used against cheap drones.

Usually some soviet era stuff...and even then not S-300 remaining stockpiles or Buk remaining stockpiles.

Russia does have a lot of cheap drones, they usually are flying in altitude 30m - 5000 m above ground level and usually does have speed like 80-200 km/h...

So depending from drone altitude ...might be used machine guns, heavy machine guns, small caliber autocannons on technicals etc. ..

Depending from heat signature drone does have also ofc MAPNPADS with heat seeker heads....
Other kind of MANPADS, also .. old soviet stuff like OSA, KuB etc etc....

Ome from problems is that despite Iranian death drone makes loud sound, it is with 50-60 HP engine and .... this does generate thermal signature, while considerably lesser than for example combat helicopters with 2 engines , each 1000-3500 HP.

So yes, to spot where death motorike is , is easier from sound it's engine generate.

Russians are returning home and go on killing sprees seems like a great idea to continuing to send these Russians into the meat grinder. But Putin not in fear he is in hiding in his bunker.

it's great with all these air defenses getting hit. Anyone have any idea what kind of quantities they have left? With the cost and slow time table it takes to build these it could be a gamechanger if UKR can destroy as many as they can.

U.S State Dept had freezed previously supposed 95 000 000 USD$ assistance funding for Georgia and EU pfP had freezed possible assistance in 30 000 000 EUR payment for Georgia. EC is considering to freeze some other assistance grants and loans opportunities due to Georgian parliament pro Kremlin oriented behaviour and stance ...
