I would seriously not assume that the whole country is as motivated to fight (in the areas occupied) as western media has led us to believe. 1) All the young people are mostly gone from those areas anyway and 2) the ones who were fanatically pro-UKR probably went west and joined the AFU already. Outside of some low level terrorism, I doubt there will be a serious insurgency in those areas.

Insurgency risk is high even in Russia and even not organized by Ukr government.

You are correct that in areas where Russia had advanced ....normally thinking ukr civies had did all the best to fled ( relocate ) IF they were able.
While even Russia does have Ukrainians and 1/2 origin ukr ...even Rus citizens living in Russia since birth.
Sabotage risk in Russia is very high.

About low level terrorism, don't forget passive and active sabotage risks.

Hitler's forces had experienced nasty passive sabotage in Belarus, Odessa area, Moldova....
Such saboteurs doesn't resist actively and likewise are doing job etc, while are reducing quality etc stuff.....if they are specialists in their technical field ....it isn't easy to spot.....

Russia managed to get where will be officers gathering and hit this area with missile. They killed 19 officers. Zelensky ofc is promising to investigate etc as usually. Additionally in other area they had hit ammo depot and training center.

In Avdiivka they are digging tunnels....also ofc are attempting to advance further on surface ( and in this case their losses are huge because damn a lot of mines and IEDs. ...Bakhmut in kindergarden if compare with this hell because very impressive ammounts of mines installed.
Russians also are suffering in some cases from their own mines.
Putin ofc will order to advance further at any price.
