Trump purposefully delayed the initial military assistance to Ukraine. He admitted as much. So I don't think he's really going to be staunch ally to Ukraine.
You're predicting Trumps future actions based on his past actions. Rookie mistake.

Personally I go with:
"What decision is Trump most likely to believe will have everyone call him a genius"

Even that's wrong half the time. Past actions? Gotta be sub 20% accuracy <Lmaoo>

I dunno man, I'd be wary leaving my fate to the guy who was in a wrestlemania not to hit me, his tag team partner in the back of the head with a steal chair because I was turning the crowd against us. And I don't think Putin considers himself a tag team partner.

Trump was at wrestlemania because he's a character already. "larger than life" or whatever. Unpredictable... no, no.

"A Maverick"

Jeez he'd almost jerk off to that. Like if a female said it to him it's for sure something he's remembering "for later".

Whatever he says goes. Democrats support is there, republicans cower at his almighty power over their base. He has the ultimate power.

Russia has a nuclear bluff.

A bluff against "A MAVERICK" a "MASTER NEGOTIATOR" who knows more than anyone on earth about: Climate Change, Making Money, Running a business, German Energy dependency (give him credit, knew more than the Germans) Fluffy Bunnies, Canoe Building and the Unladen Airspeed Velocity of BOTH the African AND European Swallow.

I wouldn't discard what he said at all. Pretty much fits his image to a T.

didn't know ukraine is part of finland...

also joining nato means being openly hostile towards russia, so if anything finland make themselves less safe by getting involved in something didn't concern them in 1st place
you making more fake accounts to like your posts? lmao

I bet you he does whatever suits Putin best because otherwise those 'tapes' come out.

He'll probably do the diplomacy route and act like the Kremlin cuck he is. Then act like the hero who secured peace, Ukraine will have to fold without their biggest military supporter and give up their lost lands.

The attrition could last forever as neither country is able to destroy or capture the factories that make the materiel.
I think this is the biggest issue, aside from manpower. Ukraine is being far more careful with it's personnel because that is a resource with a clear finite supply.

Sanctions aren't going to do much more to Russia, especially with so many loopholes being exploited i.e. selling Russian oil in international waters. They are converting to a war economy and I think they'll do this with more motivation than the Western supporters.

Of course if Trump gets in this war will end quickly, unless Europe grows a backbone and supports Ukraine alone but I don't see that happening. I'll happily eat my words if those predictions are wrong.

Idk the media articles have been strongly hinting that the US will start prodding Ukraine to begin negotiations.

I know, had posted the Time and NBC articles earlier in the thread. Just that in the page or two before the post you quoted, people we talking about if/when trump is president, how will it affect the conflict.

Which is weird, cause that is over a year from now, a whole additional spring and summer offensive away. Won’t ukrani have taken Crimea by then? Along with Putin being killed by disgruntled Russians and/or cancer?

once taken and democracy is restored, what aid would even be needed? Ukrani is totally not corrupt, and given its vast resources, should be able to be a financial power house for its reconstruction

they must be Russian bots to even propose such questions, sewing doubt about Ukraine

Your taxes are being stolen by politicians who don't give a shit about you and are giving your money to foreigners on the other side of the planet.
Effectively Putler cannot continue at this pace through the winter into the spring the number of personal being lost and qualified soldiers to fight this war cannot be replaced quickly enough. It turns out Ukraine been slow walking the press as they know they will not have F16 fighters till the spring the earliest. Putler sees this as a time to plow bodies into the grinder in the hopes it creates questions about Ukrainian resolve and if the West can continue. Ukraine realized they need the fighter jets but also they managed to take out a major Russian asset that is within 2k of major bridge that if taken out would do huge damage to Russians efforts. Two storm shadows and two Ukraine made long range cruise missiles managed to get past Russian defenses and hit the warship.

Chechen leader Kadyrov says ex-Wagner fighters are training with his forces

Nov 6 (Reuters) - A large group of Russia's former Wagner mercenaries has started training with special forces from the southern Russian region of Chechnya, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said on Monday.

Wagner played a prominent role in some of the fiercest fighting of Russia's war in Ukraine, but its future was thrown into question when its leader Yevgeny Prigozhin was killed in a plane crash in August, two months after leading a brief mutiny against the Russian defence establishment.

Kadyrov said in a message on Telegram that a big group of ex-Wagner fighters was undergoing intensive training with his own Akhmat special forces.

"I am glad that today the ranks of the famous (Akhmat) unit have been joined by fighters who have excellent combat experience and have proven themselves as brave and efficient warriors," he said.

"I am confident that in the upcoming battles they will fully live up to their reputation."

He published a video, accompanied by stirring music, showing soldiers in combat training, including some wearing Wagner insignia on their uniforms and masks over their faces. Kadyrov said the drills included shooting, field medicine and training for snipers, machine gunners, sappers and artillerymen.

It was not clear how many Wagner men were taking part or whether any of them would stay on with the Chechen forces after the training was over.

After Prigozhin's death, the Kremlin rejected as an "absolute lie" suggestions that he had been killed on President Vladimir Putin's orders to punish him for the June mutiny. Russia has yet to publish the results of an investigation into the fatal plane crash.

Putin subsequently moved to bring Wagner's fighters under the control of the state, ordering them to sign an oath of allegiance, and the Kremlin has repeatedly said the group does not exist as a legal entity.

But realisticly, how long can Ukraine sustain if Russia doesn't back down?

Here's how I see it and I'm no groundhog expert...

Russia hasn't even gotten to the hard part yet, the occupation of a hostile nation. To successfully occupy Ukraine, Russia would need to launch full mobilization. Period. Anything else just won't cut it and you can't quash a resistance with half-measures.

I was listening to someone in one of the alphabet agencies on a podcast when he knew that Russia was going to invade. He called up his friend in and said "Hey! This is real! You need to get out NOW!"

His friend replied "No. This isn't 2014, things are VERY different now and we're not just going to roll over."

Now, the entire country has that mindset. As long as Ukraine exists, it's winning as Russia spends its blood and treasure in a vanity project for empire.

I would seriously not assume that the whole country is as motivated to fight (in the areas occupied) as western media has led us to believe. 1) All the young people are mostly gone from those areas anyway and 2) the ones who were fanatically pro-UKR probably went west and joined the AFU already. Outside of some low level terrorism, I doubt there will be a serious insurgency in those areas.

I dunno about that. Too many dead on the side of Ukraine for them to just let it go.
