I think that unless the crazies get elected that even a "normal" person in the right wing would still support Ukraine. Don't forget that it's less than one year until the U.S. Presidential election and that you're going to see a lot more craziness (to get votes) in this timeframe.

I was reading a while back that it's extremely unlikely that Republicans cut out funding for Ukraine.

I think they'll flirt with the idea, and possibly cause a couple of delays, perhaps, but ultimately Trump won't fulfill his 'promise' of ending the war on his first day in office by withdrawing support.

That's just not a scenario based in the real world.

He'd probably have to go the other way and really lay it on Putin - but I think everyone knows Trump's deranged 'day one' fantasy is just spoken word performance art as usual.

They does have long range air to air missiles that might be used by Su 35....

The situation with Slovakia isn't simple.
They does have land border with Ukraine and therefore can't deplete their current stockpile too much.
They really had gave a lot and doesn't matter old or new models, Soviet style equipment Ukr might had used immediately cos didn't needed training for long months.
Slovakia also had gave them some Mig 29 and S-300 system where Ukr too had trained perssonel therefore might been used immediately.

One account of what he said framed it as a prediction of what will happen.

Another account is being framed as Biden 'should'. I just searched for articles and it is being framed as the latter.

So maybe he was initially misquoted or misunderstood. It does seem they are also massaging the messaging over the last day or so with the specific language.
