Imo Rus isn't pushed hard enough economically. Those annexed oligarchs bank accounts, yachts, properties should of been long time ago sold out and cash given to Ukr, don't understand why they keeping it for. Relations between Rus and West should never ever recover and only left to deteriorate further to the lowest levels. Citizens barred from travelling to West, total isolation.

Western leaders are soft af when handling Rus. And just as Iran provides drones to Rus, the Ukr should have been provided drones from NATO to pound Rus cities just like Rus does it to them. No remorse.

Also Medvedev and all other barking dogs should have been banned and removed from western social media.
Medvedev is awful.
Not only he was russia's president and prime minister ( PM)....
He today is member of security council in Russian Federation and still does have access to classified information:D [ access granted by trio in Patrushev, Gerasimov and Putin ].
He is Putin's friend and Putin is Patrushev's apprentice....

Best sanction for russia thus far appeared...Putin.
Let's hope that he will keep if not increase base key interest rate;).
I know how this impact businesses....

When ECB increases base key interest rate we are adding some % to prices in order to cover increased payments to commercial banks business should pay. Okey, we are using short term loans, at least one lucky thing.

Stuff Putin is doing for Russia's economy actually is ....:D.

Part from budget positions is classified information.
While we all know that some % of R&D and public infrastructure budget is used for military purposes.

Also for Grozny with Mr Kadirov and his friends....

We too have some shit and problems, therefore attention to Ukr stuff is declining a bit.
For example state treasury didn't had signed bill for cxx, parliament's secretary had signed, this means that bill might be finally signed by parliament IF 3 voting sessions will be with >50% approval.
Beauty will start today.

I mean somewhat yes. Though one was installed much more recently.

Sometimes in life what matters isn't where you start it's where you end up.
The US did not install Zelensky. This is weak Russian propaganda that’s been disproven that you for some reason still fall for

We've had this conversation probably a dozen times.

The people whose land would be changing hands support Russia overwhelmingly and have been fighting to seperate from Ukraine for nearly a decade before Russia jumped in. If Ukraine joins NATO those lands will never be able to break free. If that's what those revolutionarys want I support them the same as I support leftist comrades all across the world. Ukraine is standing up for neoliberalism and the current capitalist based status quo and is more hostile towards my core values than Russia who has been supporting the leftist seperatists. Ukraine has the support of govts I don't like and has banned socialist parties in it's country. They also have the support of Nazis.

There's also the idea of ending the invincibility of the current western "rules based" order which claims to be the end of history and is arrogant enough to claim the artifical borders recognized by it are somehow more infalliable and perfect than ones established in the past. Because they said so. This order enforces the hegemony of capitalism, corporations and
Very well earned 0,5 roubles for texts copy paste.

Russia does have wild capitalism in form like U.S had in 1930 ies comrade.

Next thing my russian shill is to argue about what stuff wants ppl in the same dumbass.
Majority of normal ppl sadly had been forced to relocate from these areas and you are happy comrade cos this allows you to post something and earn next 0,5 rouble portion.
15 roubles for post were years ago, prices had been dropped.

Comrade, soon will be lesser than 0,5 roubles = 1 post.:D

Russia after the F-16: "Escalation"
Denmark's decision to send F-16 planes to Ukraine will lead to an escalation of the war. Russia's ambassador to Denmark Vladimir Barbin says so in a statement, reports the Russian news agency Ritzau, writes Reuters.

He believes that through Denmark's decision to let Ukraine determine the terms of peace, the country is left with no choice but to continue the military confrontation with Russia.

The statement comes after the Netherlands and Denmark announced yesterday that the countries are donating up to 61 combat-ready aircraft of the F-16 model to Ukraine."

No to JAS from Sweden
Sweden has "no new measures to allow Swedish planes to Ukraine", says the Swedish Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, to TV4. Ukraine has otherwise asked to receive Gripen-fly.
The message from Sweden comes the day after Holland and Denmark announced that they wanted to send fighter jets to Ukraine."

I normally don't pay much stock to mainstream media articles on the war, but this article brings up an interesting possibility.

Here Are 3 Ways to End the War in Ukraine.

https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/08/18/how-to-end-ukraine-war-00111752

TLDR: There are 3 possibilities of this war ending favorably.

1. Ukraine militarily takes back all their territory including Crimea - will obviously be hard to achieve and dependent on a lot of factors including continued Western support and the political situation in Russia.

2. There is a diplomatic solution where Russia withdraws and returns all children taken. Very unlikely as Putin will keep fighting no matter the cost as long as there is a possibility that Western support falters.

3. Intriguing 3rd possibility. Ukraine is given the support it needs to eventually expel Russia. Sometime next year, Ukraine would declare a pause in offensive military operations and shift its primary focus to defending and rebuilding liberated areas while integrating with Western institutions. Then, at its July, 2024 summit in Washington, NATO would invite Ukraine to join the Western alliance, guaranteeing the security of all territory controlled by the Ukrainian government at that point under Article 5 of the NATO treaty.

Offering Article 5 protection to Ukrainian territory in this fashion would be akin to admitting a divided Germany to NATO after World War II and to America’s security pact with South Korea after the armistice that halted the Korean War without reunifying the Korean Peninsula. This would be a defensive pact, but not a commitment to take direct part in any future offensive operations Ukraine might choose to undertake.

This approach would not require Ukraine to cede any territory to Russia (contrary to what a NATO official suggested recently.) Ukraine and its allies would continue to pursue the country’s reunification within its 1991 borders.

And also mitigate any declining support a Trump presidency can do due to NATO treaty.

sounds nice, but there's a lot more issues for #3 that are missing. can't join with any unresolved territorial disputes and they need to be accepted by all other NATO members and there's a few that could be spoilers.

I think right now the best move for the western support to take is building up Ukraine's ground and air forces with NATO systems and focus on what they will need over the next 2 years and getting it to them quickly. The west needs to be more proactive in it's support instead of reactive. imo.

He will swallow all russian propaganda because the US intervened in other countries according to him
iirc he posted a bunch of articles that all came back to the world socialist web site and their brand of pro-soviet marxist propaganda. A very misguided selfish little prick literally living in his parent's basement isn't worth engaging.

Russia said it's an escalation a bazillion times already. No one cares or believes them anymore.

No one believes they'll use nukes either. If they did, China will tell them to completely fuck off and Russia would be really fucked.

And if they did, all of NATO would kick the shit out of them within a week. Hell - Poland by itself can now kick the shit out of Russia.

Why would China do this when NATO is a much bigger threat to China?
They will support Russia when WW3 starts.

why would they support russia? all their economic ties and future is in doing business with the west. I think their level of support right now has more to do with preventing russian collapse as china has always tried to keep it's immediate neighbors stable, subjugated, or both. And i dont think china has any plans to subjugate russian insanity.

ASEAN is their biggest partner and they are trying to decouple from the West for security reasons.

Why TF would China support Russia escalating WW3 by using nukes? They don't want that. No one wants that and it benefits literally no one. China would completely abandon Russia if they dared to use nukes.

Secondly, NATO is not China's largest threat. It's the alliance of Japan, the US, South Korea, Philippines, Australia and all of China's neighbors in the South China Sea.

This is NATO expansionism and yes they will ally with anyone and anything to contain NATO expansion.

Sure but they wont ally to the point they are dragged into a war. They'd rather sit back and watch Russia and NATO nuke each other to hell and then be ready to clean up the mess and gain power. China plays the slow game not crazy nonsense like Russia is doing.

They installed Willy Wonka in 2014.

You might want to try to get the dates right if you want to be a pretend historian.

Zelensky was elected in 2019..
