Rubik's Cube Magician Fools Penn & Teller

The dude is solving the cube right in front of us. Everytime he touches it he's moving it back into place. He's not randomizing it at all.

It's deft sleight of hand, but there's no trick or gimmick other than loose cubes.

Which I believe was Mick's mother's name back in high school. Loose Cubes.

LOL, cute.

Play any time, @jgarner.
This schtick, it stinks. I'm not sure why the joke is to take people to task for even talking to you but I imagine you'll find it wearing thin before long.

Still wounded, I see.

I'm not the one who assumed Penn & Teller were fooled by some amateurish trick, or fundamentally misunderstood its nature. "He used sleight of hand" isn't an epiphany.

That's the spirit. That got a chuckle out of me.
Good. Because whatever you're going through, I hope it works itself out.

The very last trick wasn't anything special. It was him getting to see the other cube the whole time while he was making the one in his hand look the exact same. He asked the guy to pick it up and put it in his hand for the false trick but it just gave him a chance to see more of the cube.

Or am I very wrong here?

Oh, the fallacy of control. Mick, Mick, Mick. Good luck, buddy.

Let me say that I think you're a clever young man, and I like your enthusiasm and your love of corny hiphop. You're very resourceful and informative. And again, all the luck in the world.

Control is implied by the assertion that one can "let" something happen, too. You're cutting figures on the surface of the ice. Go deeper.

We make our own destinies, and our own states of mind.

This was from this July, but it's a brilliant show. Thought I'd share.

That dude is freaking good man, I love watching magic tricks it takes real skill, I like the card tricks too my friend was good at card tricks.

i prefer when magicians show us how they perform their tricks. it's annoying when magicians pretend that they're not actually deceiving us in clever ways, and continue to say that they can actually perform magic.

Much like patterns of a Rubik's cube!

So you liked the video? It delighted you?

Yes! It riddled me good. I didn't fully comprehend it, and I was okay with that.

Magic's always better when you go with it. I love the look on our faces when for a second we're like, "HOLY SHIT!"

Yep, followed immediately by a whole bunch of wrong guesses at how it was done.
