no way, gsp was exciting once!! no point fighting when he destroyed matt hughes.

i like ronda but she is talking out of her ass.

that was in 2007. a lot has changed in that time. donovan mcnabb used to be in the league back then as well.

"I'm going to try to do something crazy, and if I end up in a bad position, I know I can handle it. That confidence gets me excited."

says the girl that has finished EVERY fight the same way.

1) GSP would still be the most dominate champion, so her statement is retarded.
2) Ronda is just trying her shitty trash talk.
3)If Dana didn't want to bone Ronda, she'd be fairly unknown.

cant wait until cyborg breaks her jaw. she talks entirely too much.

Agree with Rousey somewhat. He's the biggest draw but his fights aren't that great. Canadians are ridiculously nationalistic.

Not really. Outside of hockey (which most Canadians are insufferable and really quite ignorant about), we really don't have that much national pride. Us Canadians don't even really have a clear identity, I find. Only the Quebecois and some maritimers seem to have a unified sense of culture (I'm speaking as an Albertan). Still, GSP being a huge star is a by-product of nationalism in some senses. MMA really is big in Canada when compared on a per capita basis with the United States, I'd say (though, statisical data is scant to support this).

So if GSP was ugly he wouldn't be the champ?

The champ is the champ no matter the popularity. This isn't WWE.

He is known because of how he fights (well at least how he used to fight) and the fact that he is the Champ and runs his division...

Ronda talking about someone being well known because of how they look is funny.

Shut and go make me a sandwich Rhonda.

fucking right we are! GO CANADA GO!!!!

haha just playing, GSP is known because he is the welterweight champ and hasn't lost in 5 plus years. Having the support of a whole country doesn't hurt either, though.

Not very well. And so does Anderson.

Far worse than GSP. He doesnt give comprehensive interviews and soundbites for them to use.

It's the same reason Rasahd does more PPV's the Anderson on average. He has not always been as exciting as Anderson, but he's able to say things to get people to buy.

As well, i know a decent amount of people who buy GSP PPVs just to see him lose.
