He said Troy Imbody, 28, was sleeping in the basement of their Canal Street home and had left an outside cellar door open slightly for air.Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, two masked men armed with a BB gun crept into the cellar and attacked his son without saying a word, Imbody said. One of the men fired several shots from the BB gun and his son grabbed a nearby machete and started swinging, Imbody said.During the attack, one man's hand was severed, Imbody said."I'd say they picked the wrong house," Imbody said Sunday morning. "My son may be soft-spoken and gentle, but he's going to defend himself. That's my boy."

Based on the threads today, I'd say it's a good time to be one of the good guys. Good on the kid for taking care of business.

Give this kid a hand....

Now, that's what I called chopped!

Good job kid.

I can't help but laugh at the idea of how some people on here post Sharia law as a reason why they hate Islam yet they'll probably be all: "Good. Guy got what he deserved."

Theft (stealing) is a hudud crime in sharia, with a fixed punishment. The punishment is cutting off the hand or feet of the thief.

Good job kid.

This is a false comparison. There is a stark difference between Sharia Law and what happened here. In this case, two burglars entered the home of an innocent person, attempting to perpetrate a malicious crime. In the heat of the moment, a little boy hacked off the hand of one of the would-be villains, stopping his advance. At the time, the intent of the crime may not have been known, and the boy was defending himself. In the case of Sharia Law, a crime has been committed. It is over and done with, and the facts have all been determined. The heat has been completely removed from the situation. The punishment for the crime is brutally decided that the perpetrator should extend their arm, have it hacked off, and only then is the debt to society paid.

Let's go to an earlier topic to help address this. The home break-in scenario. Most of us agreed that if someone breaks into your home, you have the right to shoot and kill them. Right? However, most of us recognize that you don't need to execute someone who has robbed your home while you were away on vacation. Do you see the fundamental difference between these scenarios, and therefore, how actions and consequences should differ?

Yeah, based on the posts of his that I've seen, I think Kalma is one those "go ahead and take my stuff and rape my wife, I'll call the cops afterwards" kind of guys.
Gotcha. This to me is the ivory tower answer. I think it's what people think until violence actually shows up on their doorstep. When it's really there, you do what you need to do. Some people who have never been there don't seem to understand that. I mean, I guess it's theoretically possible to be such a coward as to let someone take all your stuff and rape your wife, but I can't fathom it. It's beyond my level of understanding, but I suppose it exists.

Good job kid.

I can't help but laugh at the idea that part of your twisted SJW logic is comparing draconian sharia punishment for simple theft to a kid defending himself from a home invasion, assault, and battery by two men.

Robert Imbody described the attack as a "life or death struggle." The father said a BB gun was pointed at him by one of the suspects when he ran outside and spotted the attackers.

Troy Imbody had BBs "lodged in his head and chest," Robert Imbody said.

Troy Imbody also went to the hospital and received treatment for injuries. Robert Imbody said Troy has since been released from the hospital, but is staying at another location.

Imbody said he wasn't sure why the men tried to rob his son, who suffered a large gash on the back of his head and other injuries during the home-invasion robbery.

Lets not drop anymore comments in regards to allowing ones wife to be raped etc.
