I was watching the press conference where the chief provided the name of the officer that shot Brown. he also mentioned that the officer was treated for injuries sustained during the incident. Did anyone else catch that?

my point is once they listened to the audio of what zim zam was saying to dispatch, once they realized their son ran away in fear, once they realized zim zam ignored dispatch and stalked martin, they had a better understanding of what happened. a better understanding of who was probably the aggressor. initially all they knew was their son was dead and zim zam was beat up, the logical conclusion is martin beat him down, for who knows what reason.

and if you are making the claim they even said it was his fault, you need a source homie.

Not a minor but yeah. No one has to pick a side just yet since we don't know what happened except for eye witnesses which are usually not reliable. I want dash cam footage or cell phone video and radio transmissions.

there was no dash cam and i don't think any other kind of vid either.

that's why the witnesses are the only thing to go by.

Well it does kind of matter because the killing is the cause of the outrage. So the question of whether the killing was justified speaks to whether the outrage/reaction is justified.

Not really. The community of Ferguson obviously holds their own police in such low repute as to make them think this was another unjustified killing, whether it was or not. In many communities, when a cop kills a criminal suspect, the tendency is to think the killing was justified. However, in Ferguson, the opposite is true. Why?

And even if the outrage wasn't justified, that really holds no bearing on whether the police response to the outrage was justified.

they didn't find him innocent, they found him not guilty. there is a difference.

there wasn't evidence because the only person alive who was there is zim zam, in this case, we have actual eye witnesses who saw this go down. big difference here. we don't need to take the word of the killer, people saw what he did.

Point of fact: No they did not. The court ruled that the prosecution hadn't met its burden of proving Zimmy was guilty of the charged crimes beyond a reasonable doubt.

There's a huge difference between innocent and not guilty.

it's WAY better than it was 15-20 years ago, but there are areas you still wouldn't want to go. a city with an international reputation for being fucked up is prolly fucked up on some level. deal with it.

oxnard is like 2 places, you have the beaches like hollywood beach and strand and then you have the south and east side. they are COMPLETELY different.

The incident report would provide no information about the officer and his family. what it would provide is the detailed account of the cop's side of the story so we can determine if it makes any sense. Because the bare bones version of the cop's account that's been made public seems fishy to me.

do we know that the actual report is finished?

We're not talking about the report about the whole investigation. The paperwork containing the cop's account of what happened should've been (and probably was) completed the very day of the incident.
