Crime Riot+Looting in Ferguson, MO

Like I said, a large guy jumped him and tried to take his gun.

But I'm sure some will say that after the officer shot the guy, he repeatedly punched himself in the face to make it look like the other guy attacked him.

Are you privy to information the rest us of don't have?

Not really. The community of Ferguson obviously holds their own police in such low repute as to make them think this was another unjustified killing, whether it was or not. In many communities, when a cop kills a criminal suspect, the tendency is to think the killing was justified. However, in Ferguson, the opposite is true. Why?

And even if the outrage wasn't justified, that really holds no bearing on whether the police response to the outrage was justified.

Well, apparently they're the type of policemen who arrest the wrong guy, beat him and then charge him for bleeding on their uniforms.

That's the story I'm hearing too. There was a fight over the gun and the cop shot him. If that's the case, I have no problem with it.

Do you have any proof to back up that claim?

Not exactly. According to the cop's own version there was a fight over the gun, a shot got fired inside the car and then somehow Brown was 20 feet from the car and shot multiple times.

That's one of the reason why people are so eager to see the full account of the cop's version. They haven't explained how things supposedly went from a struggle inside the car to Brown being killed far away from the car.

Why are you so certain he would go to jail? In this case, "robbed" is actually petty theft and "assault" is pushing. He didn't run up into the store, pistol whip the clerk and then ran off with thousands of dollars from the cash register. In all likelihood, he would've gotten a slap on the wrist.

Nope! He took property by force and threat of additional force. That is the definition of robbery. If he was peacefully arrested, the prosecutor may have offered a lower charge in a plea deal. That all changed when he hit the cop and ran.

If course he is, you not notice the blue, brah?

I find the idea that this cop was jumped far fetched. I mean really, who the fuck is going to try and take an officers gun when he's sitting in his vehicle? If there was mitigating evidence the Ferguson PD would be moving heaven and earth to transmit it. Instead, they are releasing videos of this kid stealing some cigarillos from a convenience store. I want to know how many times he was shot; and at what distance? Surely, they know how many times he was shot, why withhold that info?

So if I hit a cop and run, he can chase me down and summarily execute me?

The cops own version stated he was shot struggling for the weapon, brown backed up and went to charge again, resulting in more shots fired.

What's more far fetched though:

A thug kid who just robbed someone getting nervous and attacking a cop that confronts him instead of just playing it cool...

Or a cop who is just making a living and probably wants to go home randomly gunning down "innocent children" just for the heck of it, ruining his own life for no apparent reason...

You can play that game in both directions.

The whole case seems fairly routine to me. It's just an opportunity a bunch of uneducated people in a crappy area to blame their problems on the same "system" they live off of, and when that happens, dorky liberal white guys who pretend they're streetwise gangstaz like Nicky get all excited.

^ Yep another "innocent teen".

Good riddance.

If the "black community" keeps getting behind people like Trayvon and this guy then the racism they make up for profit may become a reality.

The behavior of the Ferguson police department makes the bolded scenario more likely, in my opinion.

Don Lemon just said "besmirch" on CNN lmao

Or, he pushed the cop as the cop was going for his gun in order to get away, and was shot and then summarily executed by a police officer who was scared of a large black male? Whether or not this kid/guy robbed a store, or resisted arrest/detainment, the officer has no right to shoot him dead with multiple shots as the individual was moving away and putting his hands up. Eventually we will get a more complete picture of the story.

Which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever since Brown was 20 feet away from the car when he was put down.

I'm sure there was a confrontation of some sort, obviously this kid wasn't an angel. Nevertheless, police aren't allowed to summarily execute people. Given the actions of the Ferguson PD in the wake of this tragic incident, I don't think there is any question they're withholding information because this shooting wasn't warranted.
