I tend to think that people forget that dub is actually a really good genre, but it was completely overshadowed by dubstep.

And oddly, the origins of dub, dub house, etc., could scarcely be more dissimilar to dubstep, which is basically jungle music on a standard 120 bpm tempo, and made more irritating.

That said, DnB rocks.

Just stopping to say dubstep is a great genre of music that has become incredibly commercialized within the last few years. Artists like Skream, Burial, Benga, etc are amazing musicians. , there are also dub step musicians who are more modern and are still very talented a lot of people who try to say that the genre is terrible are people who is never even really listened to it and just heard Skrillex and some random wubstep and now they have decided that a whole entire medium of creating music is bad.

Do not get me wrong there is a lot of dub step that is completely annoying and terrible but there is no such thing as a bad genre of music, only bad artists.

Dubstep isn't a good genre of music for anything.

Except maybe a good soundtrack if you're considering suicide, if you find that you just can't do it, listening to some dubstep will push you over the edge.

Opened thread not knowing what the hell "Dubstep" was. Read various responses, came up with vague idea. Apparently it involves farting, homosexuality, computers dying and witty insults generally referring to others sexuality. Just another day on Sherdog.
