Ring Walks and Dubstep

Enlightenment isn't something I can provide for you....It's only something I can suggest.

Who cares about dubstep, it's just a genre of music, it signifies something far greater in theory. It's bass music, huge formations of sound that are sent through your body via; gigantic monitors and speakers. Never before in the history of the world did we have the technology or creative instinct to develop such a bizarre and unadulterated sound. It's not about melodic structure (well some of it is), it's about percussive elements and bass movements.

If it's something you've never experienced, I'd suggest loosening up a bit, taking that stick out of your ass and attending a show. Have a few drinks, talk to some pretty girls, live a little.... :icon_chee

Who gives a F? Maybe dude just doesn't dig on dubstep? Perhaps you should loosen your own sphincter and relax

Certainly, Hardkore, you realize there is a difference between saying you don't "dig" something....And going around insulting people who like it, calling it crap, calling it tasteless and assuming anyone who enjoys it is a tone deaf moron.

Certainly, right?

You think I went to his front door, knocked on it and started forcing him to listen to dubstep? No, he posted a shit talking post in a public forum and I responded.

Your e-peen must be red raw by now after all this stroking.

Using every opportunity to display your knowledge of something no one pays attention to, capped off at either end by condescension. Then you wonder why I think you're stroking your e-peen.......

It's a free country, you're entitled to listen to w/e makes you happy. While I'm sure there is a large audience that likes dubstep, I for one am not a fan. But I digress, hey listen to what you like, although I might not like it, I do recognize it as a legitimate form of music and expression.

Cheers!

Not a dubstep or a hip hop fan, but I thought this mix was cleverly done. Dubstep+lil weezy= filthy

All this talk about walk-out music reminded me of Brad Pickett's walkout song for the Barao fight. It was some old-timey-folk-sounding tune, but Rogan just flipped his lid criticizing it.

Dubstep is terrible and isn't music. It is, however, amusing when they dubstep actual music. It's almost like a parody of the song.

Hope to god they don't start walking out to that crap though.

what's sandstorm considered as?

This will give you an idea of what real dubstep sounds like. What most people know of as dubstep has been coined as "brostep", where it's an electrohouse hybrid all about dropping the bass as a lead instrument.

This sounds more like dub than dubstep.

That's really old school trance. I think it's 140bpm as well, but it has a 4x4 kick. Ironically, it's the same tempo as dubstep. It just sounds faster because it has that repetitive and chugging kick throughout.

Very insightful, thanks.

One of the dudes came out to flux pavillion last ufc. Song was called I can't stop. Sick ass track

I've seen quite a few fighters come out to this I think Phil Davis does or has done.

On a slightly related topic, Condit coming out to Rage was pretty badass. Not so much Shields.
