Ring Walks and Dubstep

It's like how the adults on charlie.brown all.sound like Wah Wah wub wah wub to kids. Dubstep sounds that way to an old fart. They don't get it
 




This will give you an idea of what real dubstep sounds like. What most people know of as dubstep has been coined as "brostep", where it's an electrohouse hybrid all about dropping the bass as a lead instrument.

no I don't think so; he might have been an influence on Dubstep, I don't know but it's a little similar. he's way worse than dubstep though :icon_lol:

No, it was better before it got corrupted and popularized by second rate musicians like Flux, Skrillex, Datsik, etc. I'm not even saying it was better. There are still great dubstep musicans like Sbtrkt, Rusko, Magnetic Man, Schlomo to list some random names off the top of my head.

There is no such thing as a bad genre of music, only bad artists and stuff you don't like.

Anyone using the term 'brostep' should be taken out into the streets and beaten.

There is no fucking such thing as real dubstep, and I've been listening to Burial and dub in general for the last decade.

Dubstep is defined by a tempo / arrangement / rhythm. If you're producing a tune at 140bpm with a half step snare / EDM focused percussion that builds into a drop (doesn't even have to have wobbles) which repeats 2x times before entering a midsection that builds into another drop (again, doesn't have to have wobbles) you have produced a Dubstep song.
