revisiting married with children

I liked it while I was growing up, and it's still a little nostalgic to me, but every time I see something of it again, I realize I just was an idiot in my teens.

Jefferson was indeed great, he'd always laugh at Al's joke at Marcy and when she turned around to look at him, he'd go like "You better watch your mouth Al!".

And Peg.... Would back then but after seeing that beeotch Gemma on SOA..... Yeah probably still. Kelly was hot man, but I do remember seeing Mila Jovovich as a foreign exchange student on one episode as a kid.

Idiot in your teens, or pompous elitist today? Hmmm...

She was sort of 80s/90s hot... You know.... High waisted pants, weird contours that emphasized legs rather than ass. Weird shit going on.

I watch this show quite regularly, as I'm up all the time. Still hilarious.

A fat woman came into the shoe store today, and she was so fat.. She actually had three smaller fat women.. Orbiting around her.

LOL.

I loved this bit, "so you're a liar too" LMFAO:

[Al, Bud and Ephraim find the bear in the company of mean street gang. The gang refuse to let the bear go. Al takes off his jacket, preparing to fight the gang leader]
Al Bundy: Any last words, punk?
Gang Guy: [snickers] Yeah, your wife's good in bed!
Al Bundy: [grinning] So, you're a liar, too!
[the gang leader tries to punch Al, but Al blocks his blow and punches him. Bud joins Al, and together they beat up the whole gang]

I think that was the one where Bud was drilling holes in the wall to her room so he can perv on her, and when Kelly asks him what is he doing he says "installing a home entertainment system" lmao I love that fuckin show.

"Daddy, beat him up."

"Of course Pumpkin."

YEAH AL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the way he run's up the stairs to lay a beating on a dude. No wasted movement, 11 unanswered shots. Way to go, Double O Shoe.

Love the show. Im 40 today but I used to watch this with my Dad when he was alive. Al Bundy is the fucking man.

Jefferson > Steve

Definitely one of the best shows of all time. The first season wasn't so great, (

I watched it from when it first came on and I loved the first season. At the time there was never a show like this, where the family kind of hated each other. Now, it has been done countless times, but when it first came on it was a breath of fresh air---and kelly so hot.

I loved the MWC seasons with Jefferson, Griff and No Ma'am, but surprisingly I've seen a lot of posters on imdb who say they like the earlier seasons when Marcy was married to Steve.

Which half of the MWC seasons do you guys like? Early seasons with Steve or the later seasons with Jefferson?

Earlier with Steve. Steve was such a weenie it was hilarious.

But mostly because the earlier episodes they were a realistic family, and the actors created the personalities that lasted through the show run.

It's great watching Al Bundy develop.

Well the early seasons were more realistic than the Jefferson seasons but even the early seasons were farfetched. They still drove the "Bundys are so poor" angle back then backed up by the fact that the only income came from Al working in a Mall shoe store that seemed to get very little traffic. Nevertheless, they somehow afford to live in a 2-story, 3 bedroom home along with a car in the same neighborhood as Steve and Marcy who seemed to be upper-middle class.

I agree on that.

I just saw the one where AL shot their dog. Fucking hilarious. And with Al staying with luke and the stewardesses.

I liked it when Steve was in the show..
he would have lines like..

"hey Al.. you look happy today. Did they raise minimum wage? hahaha "

I think the tornado episode is my all-time favorite. Just so many crazy moments from the fat lady falling on Peg and Al to Al smacking the shit out of Jefferson for suggesting to reveal the secret exit.

ahh yes, I remember that episode. That exit took him and Jefferson directly to the stage of the nudie bar lol.

That's funny. My Dad used to point that out all the time when we'd watch the show. I can't count how many times I've heard "Pretty big house for a shoe salesman".:icon_lol:
