Resident Evil 3 Remake

Messed with Nemmy a decent amount during my second play through.

He’s not nearly as difficult as people have made him out to be. Using the dodge mechanic reduces what he can do quite a bit. Plus with a perfect dodge you enter a bullet time where you can spin around and damage the box on his chest to drop him if you have a shotgun. He drops from one grenade as well. Yeah, if you come across him with nothing but pistol ammo you’ll have to run and dodge but he’s still manageable.

Love the speed and ferocity he has. Completely relentless and once he has you pinned he doesn’t stop swinging.

Hype is through the roof.
He's Spiderman, Ill mess with him some more later and try some stuff out with him.

I think once you get over the shock and panic of how aggressive he is and get your wits about you he’s manageable. No mistake, he’s going to kill me a lot lol but I wouldn’t call him unbalanced.

Oh and as far as the inventory opening with items, itonly happened when I picked up something new or my inventory was full.

A couple more observations. I loved how if I saw a building I could enter it. Raccoon City actually felt like a real place. As @jojoRed said, the game’s lighting looks phenomenal. Unfortunately it’s making me realllly want an OLED to really capture those deep blacks and the pop of the neon. It looks like the fast travel will happen via train? Wonder how that’s going to work since you crashing it and ending up in the bell tower is a pretty integral part of the story. Lastly, I’m nervous about how this is going to go on Hardcore. Nemesis is going to be a huge chode in that mode, I’m sure. Not sure if I’ll actually play through hardcore my first go.

I tinkered with my settings a lot, I just dont think my TV is gonna do this game justice, even though it still looks gorgeous.

How insane is the trailer after the demo? RE3make is in that territory where it can be the best RE game ever made.

I hope there is only a hard and easy mode lol like te original.

Trailer was awesome, definitely feels like this is going to be heavy action. More than the original.

I read something that even the demo has an easy mode that gives you a machine gun so it looks like they’re keeping some of that from the original as well. I think it’ll have the three we saw with RE2make though.

Also, why the hell aren’t more people playing this?

Feels like much lower activity compared to RE2 right?
Yeah, maybe it was just the years of anticipation for RE2 but it seems like it’s playing out like the games did when they were originally released. RE3 is the awesome but somewhat overlooked step-child.

They probably should've waited a year or two, before releasing this. People are still playing the RE2 remake.

Too much too soon, I think.

I don’t think so. There’s been a decent amount of posters here who are excited about it which is why I’m surprised that’s it’s basically been two of us who played it.

It reminds me of the original releases. Happened quickly. Maybe you’re right for the newer generation, but, they seem to fly through games at an even faster rate.
Just no more, so soon. Don’t want them catching Annualitis

edit; just looked and the releases for the originals were slightly farther apart. A few months, at least .

It's one thing to chat about it. It's another to bother playing it, when "DOOM: Eternal" just came out...

In general though, on top of it coming out barely a year removed from the RE2 remake, it's also a remake of more of a cult hit. RE3 has never been all that popular, so the interest will likely reflect that. Nobody was really asking for it, and I wouldn't be surprised if they got disappointing returns on this one.

Like you said, it’s not as popular as RE2 and there’s a loaded release date with Doom and Animal Crossing today. Pry has more to do with it than them releasing it a year apart.

RE3 is bigger than DOOM. I think 2016 sold like 3.5mill, thats the same amount the original RE3 sold at a time where games werent as mainstream.

DOOM isnt really going to eat into RE3 and I dont think Animal Crossing's audience really plays RE.

Everyone knew once RE2make came out, that RE3make was next.

I expect RE3 sales to match the 5.8mill of REmake 2 and exceed it over its lifetime.

But I also think its because the main posters I saw in that thread arent really posting here, maybe due to the C Virus. The demo is being well received nearly everywhere else.

Before DOOM 2016 came out, that argument could be made. It was a bit of a sleeper hit, as few expected much from it. The hype is real now, and "DOOM Eternal" is a FAR more anticipated release than RE3. It's a blockbuster release and will certainly eat into other game's sales being released at the same time. The big dog eats.

I'm sure RE3 will do fine, but it's not going to be a juggernaut, or anywhere near as hyped as the RE2 remake was. At least not right out of the gate.

Id love both to be super mainstream and popular because both those games are sequels to games that I feel were extraordinary in a time where nearly every other game plays and feels the same.

We need more games like these.

Ok I think I was tainted from jumping from Nioh 2 into this. Obviously shes clunky to emphasize the quickstep mechanic.

With everything going on I don't think it's that surprising. I think it will still do well once it releases. Another thing is there are quite a few big games this year so some people are going to have to pick and choose which they get.

I never played the original RE2 or RE3 since I was still a Nintendo diehard. I never got the Gamecube remakes because I didn't want to play them with old graphics and controls after RE1 remake was already out. That said, I was super looking forward to RE2 and it ended up being my game of the year and probably my favorite RE.

I was hoping they would do a RE3 too but I was pretty shocked when they had a trailer and it was only months away. I guess they ended up making them both at the same time which is cool but I think it needed time to simmer. Even after a year, I don't know if I feel like I'm ready to jump back into another RE game. I'm still looking forward to it but it probably should have been spaced out another 2-3 years. Since the graphics are engine are the exact same, I have a feeling it's going to feel more like DLC or an expansion rather than a brand new game.

Assassin's Creed has the same problem where virtually every year, you get a new game. Those are 20+ hour games and it doesn't feel special when you get a new one every year and you are doing the exact same things again just in a different setting.

I'm glad Capcom made a come back but they should pace themselves a bit. Bring on Code Veronica but wait 3 years.

Developers are known to use the same engine for more than a decade, its nothing new. As for the graphics, REmake 2 might be the best looking game this gen, and this looks a step above.

Why not try the demo? As for the originals? Play them.
