Resident Evil 3 Remake

I just want to hear this song and I will geek out.

Not ideal with Doom Eternal but I’ll take it.

I am so in for resident Evil resistance!

Playing through the original, and man after Code Veronica, it just feels perfect. The level design is near perfect, I cant say more good things about this game.

Just enough time between Doom Eternal and this, to keep me gaming til may. Haven’t been excited to game like this for quite some time.

Got the demo downloaded, ready for Nemmy to scare the tits off me when I get home tonight.

Played the demo. I thought REmake 2 looked gorgeous but this just took it to another level. The amount of detail pouring out of this game in nearly every crevice is insane. The neon lights against the dark of the night really make the buildings etc pop out. The lighting is phenomenal.

What I liked:
- The graphics are beyond stellar, the lighting is magnificent.
- The sound design in this game is absolutely magnificent, My heart was pounding at points when I kept hearing pounding at the door, or the slight whistle of the wind, expecting Nem to pop out.
- There is a bit where you go into the restaurant and you instantly hear the "rock ending" of RE2, I literally had a huge grin hearing it. Why wasnt it in REmake 2?
- Felt like I had many options in how to proceed, just like every other great RE game, even though there is really only 1 way.
- Dodge move is just like Revelations 2.
- The slightly more serene RE3 save music. Just beautiful.

What I disliked:
- Did the controls regress? Aiming was a lot more encumbered compared to RE2make. Turning etc seemed been worsened? Im sure theyll tighten this up.
- Nemmy is just way too fast. I was testing it out, and maybe its just me.
- So you cant combine your weapon with the ammo like the originals, you can only reload normally, who made this design decision lol.

REmake 2 was my GOTY last year, REmake 3 may end up as mine again (but this year is too stacked). I cant wait.

The trailer at the end of the demo is spectacular. I think this might turn out to be potentially the best RE game yet.

- Controls felt similar to RE2 Remake for me. It did feel like you could shoot faster in this.
- Nemmy is supposed to be stupidly fast. He was op in the original as well.
- It was like that in RE2 Remake as well. Why would it be better to have to constantly go to the inventory screen to reload? Reloading in-game emphasizes realism and makes gameplay much smoother.

Maybe it was me with the controls, I hope others can put their 2 cents on this.
You always felt like you got a breather because of the door animation though, and you were always just slightly ahead, he could sprint to nearly catch up but when he did you were right near a door anyways.
I have just recently replayed the original, and it was a habit I got into obviously, so it just stood out once I played the demo.

There was another thing I have noticed, every time I picked up an item, the inventory opened up, which was annoying. I dont remember that in REmake 2.

Having recently replayed RE3, can I just say that its the best of the classic RE games? Its so tight in every pore outside of the few shit puzzles. Its so well designed and executed. If this had RE2's soundtrack, and a few more sombre and serene moments like original RE2, it would easily be in everyones top 3 spot.

Didnt like the controls, she runs too slow, too many zombies, they don't stagger from gunshots like in 2. Shut it off in annoyance before I ever saw Nemesis

Omfg I don’t know how I can take a whole game of Nemesis. My fucking heart was racing even when he went down.

Not having any issues with the controls or zombies staggering though I wasn’t usually going for leg shots. There was more than enough ammo to take most out.

Took me a while to dial in the brightness which was my biggest annoyance.

Game looks and feels amazing. Cannot fucking wait for the real deal.

Got it pre-ordered on PC. I'm like movie with games now. If I know I'm going to like something, I'm not even going to watch trailers, look at screenshots or anything. I won't play the demo since I'm just going to have the full game in a week but I'm looking forward to it.

RE2 was my game of the year and while my hopes aren't as high for 2, I'm still excited for 3. For those that have played the demo, I was really conservative with ammo. I've heard 3 is more action oriented so is it safe to kill pretty much everything you see and not worry about ammo?

Two weeks from tomorrow.

I was fine blasting through things during the demo but I’m sure it was on an easier difficulty setting.

Messed with Nemmy a decent amount during my second play through.

He’s not nearly as difficult as people have made him out to be. Using the dodge mechanic reduces what he can do quite a bit. Plus with a perfect dodge you enter a bullet time where you can spin around and damage the box on his chest to drop him if you have a shotgun. He drops from one grenade as well. Yeah, if you come across him with nothing but pistol ammo you’ll have to run and dodge but he’s still manageable.

Love the speed and ferocity he has. Completely relentless and once he has you pinned he doesn’t stop swinging.

Hype is through the roof.
