Media Reminder: Jon Jones Could Not Keep Down Dominic Reyes (vid)

I dont think Jones made attempts to take down Smith or Santos. If he did maybe once between them both?

Smith and Santos were and are still fighting LHW. If we are saying they were 225lbs MW's in the LHW division, then DC was a HW fighting in the LHW division, and Jones took him down at will.
That logic is flawed. The lighest division you fight at is an indication of your size. Using your logic, Joe Riggs is a Heavyweight. So taking him down at ww is like taking down a hw.

The lightest division a fighter participated in is their 'actual' size?
Regardless of their weight.

By size do you mean body mass?

Can you elaborate?

One thing you guys are not mentioning is that Gane is just as long as Jones. He wont need to get inside to land strikes like other fighters with much shorter arms. Jones will have to shoot for a TD in less than optimal distance.

You'd have a point if Arthur Jones wasn't a 2x NY State Wrestling champion, let alone his more notable NFL career as a 320lb defensive end. And hasn't been brought in constantly for Jones' camps throughout his career because he still trains.

Pretending Arthur Jones is just some big brother is retarded. Complain about training with Chandler Jones, the younger brother who's just an NFL football player, sure as Chandler comes in too to help push Jon in camps, but Arthur could've gone into MMA and both he and Jon have been very vocal about this. He's not just Jon's big brother.

So what you're saying is... when he and his brother were growing up, they would pound each other behind the barn Joe?

No but seriously, must be sweet to have a 320lb state wrestling champ version of yourself as a training partner to give you confidence against facing heavyweights. And being a successful ex athlete, I guess he has all the time in the world to be there for Jones' camp.
