Remakes need to stop

Cheap money grabs that people buy unfortunately. Big fan of MGS3 but it's not outdated enough that it needs to be remade. The old version is still playable and is in fact being released again in a few months.

Honestly I love remakes, there's a ton of older games that I want to replay with my girlfriend, but she has a really hard time getting into anything with older graphics, and sometimes they don't even play at all or are buggy in windows 10.

I also find myself being turned off by old graphics as well, even though I'll play pre-2000 games. Having things being a little more visually pleasing is pretty good and there's some awesome games that people would have never played if not for remakes, so it's all good from where I'm standing.

Can’t we just get original stories? Pump out a new resident evil story or silent hill story or dead space. Remasters too. The last of us is going to probably get remade on ps5. It’s just lazy. Give me a side story on the last of us day 1 outbreak or something. Then these remakes are pretty much just remasters. Tired of this.

Brother they've done everything. They don't even need to make games anymore but they do. Should be grateful that the franchise is still thriving enough to a point where they can have some fun and have projects to remake old beloved games.. all the while, STILL creating new original games

40-60 bucks for a game is not a high price. That's what you'll spend getting lunch and 2 beers anywhere.

It is a price of a new game. The remakes often cost more than the originals. There is also the grey area between remaster and remakes. For every good remake/remastered game. There are a bunch of just plain HD clones. People buy them for nostalgia then you realized you spent 70-80 dollars on something that should be named PC crash simulator because the company is greedy. At least having a working product when releasing it.

That was almost 20 years ago, Im fine with that. Although would prefer they start with the first one.

They'll just ruin mgs3, it's great as it is. I love replaying it every couple of years

Legend of Dragoon or the original Syphon Filter could do for a remake though

That was almost 20 years ago, Im fine with that. Although would prefer they start with the first one.

The first one needs a remake since the graphics (and the gameplay somewhat) are ridiculously dated to the point where it is almost unplayable. MGS3 graphics and gameplay still hold up rather well. I'd much prefer Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2 or MGS be remade since those are tough to play through now.
