Legit real question. Do you really think you’ll be nostalgia free when you get older and the next generation’s great ones come along, and they start talking shit on LeBron and downplaying his GOAT status since “it’s a different game now” in the future?

I ask, because I had the same thing asked of me from an old school Bill Russell fan in my youth when I would talk that shit about Jordan being the GOAT.
That’s a great topic to discuss actually. I’ve said here that I believe the game will continue to evolve and the next generation will be better than this current one probably. There’s no issue with reminiscing and think about when you were younger and how fun it was, but it shouldn’t cloud your judgement. It’s not healthy to be like “back in my day etc.” and just shit on the young people because you’re nostalgic. This isn’t anything new, I just think this is the first generation to combat that and start talking shit back.

While there are reasons to not like LeBron (friendship with Diddy) good chunk of reasons why older fans don’t like him is because of political views.

Lebron has the greater numbers and maybe better resume

I knew lebron was the chosen one when I watched his first high school game on espn

He's lived up to the hype and surpassed it

The only reason I put Jordan ahead of him, is lebrons team lost to Dallas in 2011 and the spurs in 2014

I don't hold the lost to the first spurs appearance in 2007, warios in 2015, 2017 or 2018

Jordan was able to go 6 for 6, he beat anyone that was put in front of him during his eras

Bird
Magic
Isiah
Drexler
Malone
Stockton
Payton
Kemp
Ewing
Barkley

Lmao. He’s 0-6 versus Bird in the playoffs. More fan fiction.

They should have just shot 100 three-pointers a game, played no defense, and missed 30 games every season in the 90s.

Would have been the GOAT era.

I normally always hate on the Celtics, but that bullshit Luka trade left such a bad taste in my mouth, I was actively rooting for the Boston.

Lakers did not earn it. They just got a superstar gift wrapped to them for no reason like they have multiples times in the past already.

The goat gift wrapped superstar was KD going to the warrios after Gaymond cried like a little girl begging him to save them

The whole load management thing is completely overblown.

Some stars like embid and Kawhai are missing heaps of games, but they are just brittle AF, their injuries are legit, they just aren’t built to be consistent in the modern nba.

There are plenty of stars playing nearly every game. I can’t recall the last time I watched a game where the opposing star was being unjustifiably rested.

Just another thing for old bitter men to complain about.
