The only thing that's changed year over year to give a narrative that FTA is MVP is team record with OKC crushing it - which is somewhat legit.

Giannis is smarter now by chucking up less 3s (less than 1 per game), and is a monster on defense, but doesn't have a narrative going for him this year. But agree the league has kinda "forgotten" about him in a lot of commentary.

As much as I wanted SGA to win it and bring another MVP back to OKC, it has to go to Jokic man his supporting cast does nothing to help him. I’m also glad he helped Russ revive his career.

In all fairness, Orlando should have a better record. Franz & Banchero both missed a bit of time.

I’ll say this though, Paolo is my boy but he pisses me off when he tries to be like Melo too much. His ass should be yamming it on dudes heads.
 
Incredible. This era may be a complete mess but Chef is the best player from it.

It's amazing he accomplished all this without ever playing with a legitimate center. Inspirational stuff.

These Celtics are solid AF. Tatum, Brown and Holiday are such a deadly balanced combo, very hard to deal with.

The Lakers loss to the Celtics was definitely a reality check / reminiscent of the finals.

The Celtics are were a mockery of Luka, hunting him on nearly every play. They also shut down Austin Reeves who couldn't do anything in the mid range or interior. Jaylen Brown plays Luka like he has a vendetta against him.

Reddick has to come up with some way to stem the flow of offense blowing by Luka, and Luka will need to actively study and work on how to become a better defender, and become a better athlete in the long term (strength and conditioning / plyometrics) because his talent might have a ceiling in terms of winning, with his current deficiencies.

Also, no doubt that Lebron got injured because of the intensity that the Celtics brought today, man i hope he'll be able to stay healthy in the play offs when the intensity goes up.
 

Jokic getting 30-20-20 is insane especially since he plays on a team with no players in the top 71 in the league. SGA plays with five other players that are top 71 in the league age that doesn't include Chet who is not eligible due to play time. The mvp is likely going to SGA because he is playing on a stacked team.

If Dallas wanted Luka gone so bad at least also get back Austin Dweebs with Davis. Why were they so fucking stupid.

Legit real question. Do you really think you’ll be nostalgia free when you get older and the next generation’s great ones come along, and they start talking shit on LeBron and downplaying his GOAT status since “it’s a different game now” in the future?

I ask, because I had the same thing asked of me from an old school Bill Russell fan in my youth when I would talk that shit about Jordan being the GOAT.

I’m not beholden to the past. This is coming from someone who used to think Jordan was the goat. Eventually someone will pass LeGoat as the goat. It happens in every sport.
