I think the equivalent of Frank Gore in the NBA would be someone like Vince Carter. Solid counting stats and he played for 22 years but didn’t make an all star team for the last 13 years of his career and only made 2 all nba teams. Very good career but not an all time one. LeBron is more like Jerry Rice having a 1000 yard season in his 40s which nobody else has ever done. No disrespect just different levels

Jerry Rice is a good comparison to Lebron. At age 40, Jerry Rice was still a highly productive NFL WR, posting a season with 92 receptions, 1,211 receiving yards, and 7 touchdowns.

So Brandon Williams suffered a hamstring injury and Dwight Powell and Kessler Edwards collided head first resulting in stitches last game. The Mavs have been so devastated this season they now are in danger of being the first team in history to forfeit games. The rules state you have to have at least 8 players and the Mavs have only 7 players left. They would have to dress an injured player just to not forfeit at this point. Even if they do that, their bench will consist of 2 players.

This is the most devastating season for a bsketball team I've ever seen, maybe that anyone has ever seen.

Couldn't they just call someone from the g league? Give some local hoop legend a 10 day contract?

Apparently, no, its not the simple right now for the Mavs. Their first 10-day expired, their second 10-day was injured during the second game he played. Then there was something I heard on the radio today about the apron stopping them from signing anyone else. Basically they suited 8 players tonight and played with the bare minimum of 8 to avoid forfeit but any other injuries right now and they will become the first in history to forfeit an NBA game. They somehow managed to beat the Spurs tonight using a bench of 3 guys.
