Regarding the issue of Arman Tsarukyan being sidelined

There’s another thing that hasn’t been mentioned in this whole story. It wasn’t the first time Tsarukyan was sidelined. It was the second. Earlier in the year he was supposed to fight for the belt against Topuria. The justification was the same: “Arman pulled out of the fight against Islam.”

Now, a year later, Dana brings up the same excuse to take him out of 2026, even though he already paid the price, already took a fight he shouldn’t have had to take, and won. He should be square with the UFC by now.

But why isn’t he? Because the UFC wants to protect another of its darlings. They protected Topuria, and now they’re protecting Paddy. That’s the real reason — the rest is nonsense.

That's the problem, he already went to the back of the line, went back to the beginning, and they sent him to the back of the line again without losing to anyone; in fact, he won.

-attacked a fan
-ruined a title fight
-blatantly ducked Gamrot
-headbutted Hooker at weigh-ins

The UFC want reliable champions, not loose cannons. Arman is acting every bit the spoiled rich kid he's accused of being.

If Arman never made any mistakes, I wouldn't disagree.

But I think Arman is closer to being cut from the UFC than he is to get a title fight, if I'm being honest. I strongly suspect the UFC was pissed that he headbutted Dan Hooker and endangered another main event.

Had Hooker been forced out of the title fight, as a result of that headbutt, I think Arman would have been cut.

The argument is that he was protected because the UFC gave him a stylistically more suitable opponent to beat.

Being the favorite or the underdog has absolutely nothing to do with it...

But he missed his Title Shot and Fooked Up a Main Event, whilst continuing to act out and risk other Events -- not to mention bad mouthing the UFC.

UFC doesn't need another problem child -- especially if it comes with a bad attitude that endangers their Money Machine.

Arman proven unreliable and reckless.

If Arman would get serious about chasing the belt by becoming an active fighter, he would have a clear path to a title shot by the end of 2026. All he has to do this coming year is revenge his loss to Gamrot by beating him, as Hooker and Olivera have done. Then all he has to do is fight and beat a couple up and comers like Fares Ziam and/or Manuel Torres, and the fight and beat someone like BSD, and then take on the winner of Ruffy vs. Fiziev. A simple task for someone with an ego the size of Arman.
