Reem was blatantly using PED's during the USADA era

His pics post retirement remind me of Rumble so it's kinda unconfortable tbh

The other way around. he looks haunted and unhealthy because he went vegan and some idiotic fruit diet. For non religious people nutrition is the new religion and they will approach it as mindfucked as religious people with beliefs and not facts.

We have a real problem now in our capital with mentally underdeveloped children because parents force vegan diet on them which leads to horrific developmental pathologies.

Vegan diet literally rots your brain from severe lack of B12 and several other key nutrients/vitamins.

He could probably have heart problems from all the roids he did,and was told to eat healthier, and lose mass.
Absolutely. Its just so absurd that now he has himself made a tool campaigning for some alternative nutrition companies talking absolute nonsense about nutrition. I listened to a interview with him and it was kinda shocking realizing how dumb he is.

But I have to correct myself he is now vegetarian not vegan. Just combined with some dumb unscientific diet.

'If I eat meat, yes it’s delicious, but then these parasites come in my system. They’re gonna move around and do their thing and then all the other things will become less healthy. This [pointing to nuts] doesn’t create acidity. Meat does, sugar does.'
Thats the level of "intellect" Overeem shows.

Is this seriously news to you? lol This was absolutely not a thread worthy topic.

It's professional sports... if you think that all athletes who pass are "clean", you are living in a fantasy land. There is too much money on the line and too stiff of competition to not be trying to get every possible advantage you can. Just like with financial crime, those breaking the law will always be the driving force behind innovation and those trying to enforce the laws are simply reactive to these changes... there will always be new drugs, new masking agents, and just general corruption to worry about. There will always be "cheating" to some level so it is a waste of time/energy to worry about demonizing the select few who get caught.

The thing that is most funny about all of this is how completely brainwashed/ill informed people are about steroids. It's like they think that a fighter is trying to become a body builder and will turn up looking like The Incredible Hulk for his next fight because he took steroids when in reality, they are primarily used for healing injuries (i.e. making it to your event so you can get paid/compete) and can be be completely safe if TAKEN AS PRESCRIBED.

The whole "unfair advantage" bs is grossly exaggerated and just a hold-over from the Cold War days where steroids were treated as a buzz word on the level of "commie" or "iron curtain" lol and people still hold onto this completely outdated notion that "clean fighters" are just having steak and eggs (and maybe a whey protein shake) during camp when in reality, EVERY fighter is taking mass amounts of unnatural supplements; the legality of which is completely arbitrary and heavily influenced by corporate corruption.

Really, the entire "anti-doping" effort has become a major industry itself (how much do you think USADA charges for a piss test compared to your local health clinic?) so it is likely people will never stop overreacting to this non-issue as long as there are people out there benefitting from keeping steroids forbidden but honestly, we have overcorrected this issue so much that it is actually starting to hurt athletes. The insane levels of unnatural training that goes on in modern day is leading to extremely negative long-term health effects for athletes who must push themselves to the brink in order to even have a chance at winning but oh no... can't do whatever you can to heal your body... has to be from our approved list of chemicals, not your chemicals :rolleyes:

Go look at post-retirement Tour de France competitors and see that we have gone too far towards "clean sports".

For me, the surprising part about the whole thing is, given all the stories of USADA's over the top practices like showing up in the middle of the night or checking a fighter multiple times in a week or even a day, someone like Overeem who should be in their crosshairs, got away with for a long period of time.

Him going raw vegan - amongst the most unhealthy and unathletic diets - has more to do with it than stopping the PEDs (which of course also contributes to the drastic downsizing).

Tbh he has now gone full vegan and plant based like Rashad Evans.

This is when most fighters go full retard and lose all their aggression and testosterone and then quit fighting.

Even myself as a fighter, when you get really into being a wierdo fighter and go full vegan and belive all crazy consipiracy theories like Rich Franklin rubbing that silver gel inside his body and stuff is when you go too far.

To fight you 100% need animal protein.

I don't condone cheating or agree with taking steroids however alot of the guys juicing never looked like him.

Be careful you’re only allowed to accuse Conor of being on steroids. Accusing a black fighter will get you yellow carded quick. The hypocrisy and double standards on this site is ridiculous

Freakin sherdog. Make a thread about literally anything , and some fuck will start randomly talking about conor mcgregor. Ffs. I hope you're proud of yourself.

My favourite was Jon Fitch. Playing the moral superior person now unleashing his vegan monster and at last with veganism back on track with his career ( also looking like a monster) and then being caught for hardcore PED abuse.

That was such a comedy in itself that showed the whole absurdity in perfection. <Lmaoo>

My man if it took Reem shrinking for you to figure that out, you got some learning to do. Nothing about Ubereem was natty, and he was just as skinny before he got yolked.

We have all speculated that fighters are still on cycles(because they are) during the USADA era, but had to take a little more precaution compared to the older testing style, which is taken around fight week. Fighters had to be smarter about cycling on and off and timing things to minimize a detection window.

Pre USADA Reem was blasting steroids, USADA reem was probably microdosing TRT and doing other things like EPO, Now that he is retired and downsizing, we can see what a truly natty Reem looks like.

Pretty clear cut case opf PED abuse when you shrink that much post retirement. Most natural fighters actually get bigger when they retire because they aren't doing all the cardio they were doing as a fighter.
So, PEDs work?

The thing is, there are certain fighters where it's taken for granted they juice. The very nickname Ubereem and the horsemeat euphemism give it away.

Looks only tell half the story. Look at fighters who did amazing pre-2015, then not as good after.

vegan diets - if done right - can actually be relaxing. it's a state of mind to go with. Overeem is a guy who is financially secure, secure with himself, and with absolutely nothing to prove to anybody including himself. he doesn't need to be all jacked up on horsemeat. he can just be himself and be a father and live his live free of fighting for the first time in decades
He sure can. I just don't know that Reem would stop eating meat unless he had to. We're not talking about being jacked up, but just enjoying eating meat. Maybe he stopped because he simply got sick of meat. But when I see an athlete who's always prided themselves on physique shrivel up AND go vegan - I do worry.

Strikeforce’s testing wasn’t any different than the testing that finally busted Overeem. They used commission testing only, just like the UFC did in 2012 when Reem finally popped. Overeem never had a single USADA violation that I can recall, it was NSAC that caught him. UFC hadn’t started working with USADA yet when Reem popped.
Yet Overeem, Werdum, Bigfoot and Barnett had zero problems passing tests in Strikeforce but all were busted in the UFC. Something has always been very fishy about Scott Coker orgs. Usually the few guys who test positive are fighters like Kimbo and Ken Shamrock, two very old, expendable fighters (sacrificial lambs to "prove" they're testing).

You are right,of course, but im sure Lesnar was also on gear. I dont think he can fight without it. Other than the Hunt debacle,he never fought under USADA.
I'm sure he did in the WWE, but he was smaller and less defined in the UFC than in pro wrestling. I think he totally stopped or at least minimized his use in his main UFC run. He certainly wasn't doing the amount of PEDs Overeem was at the same time.
