Chatri was pissed off for the ppv fiasco, but still listening to that dude is so irritating, blaming Di Bella after his win for “not be a finisher” is just embarrassing.

He said the same about Kongthoranee because he knows that he will give Rodtang an hard fight, so let’s book a no sense third fight with Haggerty .

you think? ok. I thought Superlek dominating Kongthoranee (one of my favourites by the way) to the point of barely needing to break sweat over 3rds, suggested Kong is maybe below the level to challenge the likes of Rodtang or the real elite. Maybe Rodtang's come-forward style would suit Kong better

The company tests them and the company still suspends them non-existent. Or maybe they don't suspend them, or they don't even check everyone...

A third fight with Haggerty is more interesting than a fight with Kongthoranee for Rodtang. Otherwise make him fight Noiri.

I will make it clear:
the only fight that make sense is Rodtang vs Superlek 2 in muay thai or kickboxing but for wherever reasons they will not make it happen.

Since november the flyweight belt has been vacant and still we don’t have a fight scheduled for that title. Kongthoranee is without a doubt, after Superlek, the rightful contender for the title considering his resume. But for many more months we will not have a fight for that belt; why?

Because they have the great idea of putting Rodtang vs Haggerty on the Denver card cause they need a fight that could capture american audience. On fight day between Rodtang and Haggerty there will be almost 10 kilos of difference.

My guess is their awful matchmaker wants to let it marinate or something, same reason it takes ages for any of their exciting fights to get put together.

Yeah, I respect Haggerty, but ONE pushes him and pretty much any other English speaking white dude they can get to string together some wins. Usually get contracts faster, more screen time, biased commentary, etc.; the weight disparity between Rodtang and Haggerty now probably has Chatri elated

Doesnt that make it more interesting? If they were the same size its obvious Rodtang would beat him.

Jonathan has improved a lot since their last fight. I think a rematch makes some sense.

Haggerty vs Rodtang at 140 lbs would be good, though I'm sure they will push for 145. Haggerty vs Superlek 3 and Rodtang vs Nadaka's brother would be better match ups. Also is Chorfah still available? Hasnt been booked in a year and a half but he could give Rodtang trouble.

I think it's a bit early for Haggerty vs Superlek 3 considering the outcome of their last fight. Let Haggerty pocket a win or two first. If he manages to beat Rodtang than the Superlek rematch will be more appealing.

Chatri may be a machiavelian psychopath but he is not wrong at all.

If you don't want to fight, then why are you a professional fighter ? Kaito could had fought against Marat, he didn't want to.

He could had defeated the Armenian and basked in glory but refused. And he got paid in full without even fighting for turning down a fight he was supposed to take.

You need to rely on competent people to grow, people willing to take a few risks here and then.

Long live Chatri !

As I understand, the problem was thatMarat weigned in after the weigh in perid. So Kaito's rteam wasn't there. Basically they don't know if he was actually 300 grams over or not. They think ONE lied about it and used the extra moey to bait Kaito in.
Thye also claim they were never paid by ONE.
To be honest I am not sure what s is giong on. This is a they say they say situation.

Breaking news : Chatri apologized to Kaito and end up their beef. Article from the bangkok post, here.

"ONE Championship chairman Chatri Sityodtong has retracted comments criticising Kaito Ono after the Japanese kickboxing star demanded an apology.

Kaito was set to make his promotional debut at ONE 172 last Sunday, but pulled out on the eve of the event after opponent Marat Grigorian missed weight by three quarters of a pound.

During a fiery response at the post-event press conference backstage at Saitama Super Arena, Chatri insisted Kaito was “scared” and “ran away” after declining a catchweight bout with former ONE featherweight title challenger Grigorian, and that he “didn’t deserve to be paid”.

“Like all the fans and officials, I was looking forward to the bout between Marat Grigorian and Kaito,” an official statement from Chatri read on the Japanese version of ONE’s website, however.

“Grigorian passed the hydration test after the time limit, which put him 350 grams overweight. At this point, Grigorian was penalised by having 20 per cent of his fight purse forfeited and given to Kaito."

"“When a fighter is less than one pound overweight, the standard response in the world’s major mixed martial arts organisations is to negotiate a bout at a catchweight."

“Naturally I was disappointed when Kaito declined the bout. However, as the CEO of ONE Championship, it was inappropriate for me to express such feelings in a press conference.

“I sincerely apologise and formally retract my comments regarding Kaito’s lack of courage. Kaito is a highly respected champion in Japan.”

Kaito – a champion in local Japanese promotions Shoot Boxing and Knock Out – had bristled on social media after hearing Chatri’s harsh words from the press conference.

“Is this guy serious? It was [Grigorian] who didn’t come to the weigh in and ran away. I didn’t run away even a millimetre,” Kaito wrote in a post.

“It can’t be helped that he can’t lose weight or adjust. The opponent’s reaction, and the organisation’s, was too bad. He was in no condition to fight.

“What are you saying? You haven’t done anything properly since before the fight. I have been holding back a lot.”

Kaito also criticised Chatri for “making fun of other organisations” in his comments at the press conference, when he said Kaito should “fight in the smaller promotion”.

“The way we have been treated this time, we have never experienced in any other organisation,” Kaito added. “They were all organisations that were serious and proper. I am proud of the organisations I have fought in."

“What are you talking about? There is no organisation to be ridiculed. They are more professional than ONE. "

“A group that has [fighters who miss weight and] who can’t keep a contract is not professional. Apologise right now and take back your statements.”

  • Tsz Ching Phoebe Lo vs. Fuyuka (Kickboxing – atomweight)
  • Harlysson Nunes vs. Lucas Ganin (MMA – bantamweight)
  • Fritz Biagtan vs. Edson Machavane (MMA – flyweight)
i was hoping they would fold some of the fights from the cancelled OFF102 card into this one for a bumper-quality card, but unfortunately the guys who missed out last week just won't fight at all till their next chance.

Kinda, meh. I expect Kulabdam to comfortably outpoint Cicek, who I don't think will be his normal self with Kulabdam's superb counter left opposite him, in an uneventful fight.

poor old Mungkorn goes two insane wars with the beast Tonglampoon and they chuck him in with Watcharapon The Puncher (3-0(3) ) as a reward.

Meh

OFF103 was.... ok... some action, some quality but not too much of either.

Kulabdam - Cicek was predictable to the point of hilarity, Cicek trying to back Kulabdam up but terrified to let his right hand go for fear of being countered so he was just basically staring at Kulabdam, and Kulabdam went jab-low kick, jab-low kick, jab-low kick, jab-low kick, jab-AND NOW ITS THE LEFT HAND BOOOOOOM M'FER. ha. Kulabdam by nuclear left hand, is normal.

Kulabdam looked like he had been taking his vitamins

oh, also Xavi Gonzalez has that distinct look of being thicker around the middle nowadays

Watcharapon The Puncher can really, really fucking punch. Mungkorn went 6 rounds with the beast Tonglampoon and I don't think he really looked like being stopped, and even though Watch was on slightly rubbery legs, Mungkorn got a little over-confident, got straightened with the right hand, and with blood in the water you bet your ass Watcharapon The Puncher is a fucken shark. He's around the same weight as Teeyai The Puncher/ Songchainoi and I'd love to see him in with either of them

OFF104 features a rematch between Kompet and Chartpayak, and Sonrak - Khunponnoi as the featured fight. thats a good solid start to the card, at least.
